(And the emptying the entire tube of diaper rash cream, but at least those days do eventually pass. I'm well beyond that now. But I'm not sure I'll ever be beyond having it suck to push beyond my current skills. Ugh. 😩)

Like my wife was able to take a part-time job somewhere she actually enjoys and work up to full-time rather than just taking whatever full-time she could get. I just remind myself of that when it's too much.

But soooo much time just doing administrative BS. *sigh* Good luck with the review. 😐

Oof, I feel so much of this and I'm sure many others do, too.

It's hard looking back and thinking how much of our lives have been spent as a cog in a machine we don't care about at all. I just try to think about how it supports my family.

This is a wonderful series with:

- a very sweet sapphic couple,
- fun and exciting action, and
- interesting portrayal of classic (Silver Age?) superheroes & villains but with a richness and earnestness to them.

I highly recommend it!

Yeah, they do go hand-in-hand with AJ. He also seems to be the least stressed, least angsty, of the bunch, so maybe he's onto something. 😅

And Kyle is my middle-aged man with undiagnosed depression is convinced to go to therapy, gets diagnosis and meds, and is happier now cautionary tale.

Boo, no more insomnia writing, but yay, no more insomnia! 🤷

Kyle - relatively balanced, but often caves if really pushed. Two areas he is absolutely stubborn about are:

1) If family or friends ask for help, there is no question in his mind that he will help to the best of his ability or beyond

2) a depression-fed stubbornly low view of his own worth

Rachel - Frighteningly persistent.

e.g. After finding out Katie's ex-boss was kind of a jerk, Rachel spent MONTHS creating a fake Facebook profile (complete with fake friends to look more legit) to befriend him and find an embarrassing photo to plaster all over campus to humiliate him.

Sticking with the band cuz I know them best:

AJ - anti-stubborn, easy-going, wherever life takes him is fine

Katie - has ND fixations especially if a goal she is excited about, also ND habit of "changing scripts" and moving on from things far faster than others understand

Would people be interested in submitting to a sapphic dark romance anthology? I've done two sapphic anthologies so far and I've had a lot of fun. This one would be due around the end of May and release July/August. 🤔

As long as I make him wait. 😉 He believes he has no free will.

(He'd actually get bored after about 10 minutes and go watch some music videos instead.)

And, yeah, giving them all a HEA certainly helps (although in a lot of ways, Kyle does get the worst of it and still wonders why.) 😂

I like letting my bbs laugh with each other, so I had a few scenes to choose from, but this is one of my favorites ❤️

Context: Ru'ul is training Kena to fight, and Mireia happened to walk by & see them sparring, and suddenly got attacked by ~feelings~ 😂 #Atlantis Book 2

AJ would be philosophical and decide that he can only react however I want him to react. Then he'd sit there waiting to see if I make him react.

Rachel would seriously side-eye me over her backstory but understand the journey. Then she'd put in requests for awesome adventures and more sex.

Katie would accept it in stride and ask what the music is like out here.

Kyle would point to a few specific events and ask "Seriously?! Why do you hate ME so much?"

But I'd point to Katie & Rachel and his kids, AJ & Wynne, and he'd shrug, smile, and say it's worth it.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad that he was able to be there all those years for you and the children, and that you could be there for him during his recent struggling years.

I really like both and use both depending on the story. So far, I have only had little slip ups switching between tenses as I work on different stories, but my biggest issue is if I start second guessing rather than just trusting myself, it slows my writing way down.

Ugh, that has got to be exhausting! I'm so sorry. But I hope this at least helps her feel better! Wishing for an easy surgery and quick recovery. 🫂

Here Katie & Kyle are at a park and she is telling him about breaking up with her horrible, cheating ex-fiance and how she couldn't even confront him.

Yeah, for a while when my nephew was little, he would sometimes switch between Uncle Walker & Aunt Walker (technically my real name, not this pen name). Family thought it was funny but I didn’t care. It was all fine with me. All that mattered is he liked hanging out and playing with me.
