ECOVACS brings flagship roller mopping to the mid-range I honestly expected roller mops in robot vacuums to stay exclusive to the flagship models for a couple of years at least. But here we are, barely a year since Ecovacs launched the Deebot X8 Omni, with the tech launching in the new mid-range T90 Pro Omni. The Deebot T90 PRO OMNI is designed to be a pet-friendly workhorse for the modern Australian home. It focuses on high-efficiency cleaning without the constant need for manual intervention. The mopping is all built around Ecovacs's OZMO ROLLER 3.0 technology. This system uses a 27 cm roller, which is more than 50% longer than previous iterations of the roller mop, to scrub floors at 200 RPM while continuously washing itself with fresh water. This continuous self-washing gives a vastly superior mop over the previous vibrating mop pads or oscillating pads in robot vacuums. It ensures the robot isn't just dragging a dirty cloth across your floorboards. By bringing a roller mop to its mid-range lineup, Ecovacs is offering a loud challenge to other robot vacuum brands. It's not just the mop that gets the upgrade, though. The T90's suction power has also seen a massive bump to 30,000Pa. This is paired with "BLAST" technology to ensure it can pull deep-seated pet hair and debris out of thick carpets. To keep the unit moving in larger homes, ECOVACS has included PowerBoost fast charging, first seen in the X11 launched at IFA last year. The system can restore 10% of its battery in just three minutes, effectively giving it a "perpetual runtime" for houses up to 500 square metres. Manoeuvrability has also been prioritised with a new four-wheel-drive climbing system. It can now scale single steps up to 2.4cm or consecutive thresholds up to 4cm, meaning it is less likely to get stranded in a sunken lounge room. > "The DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI builds on our leadership as the innovator and pioneer of roller mopping technology in home robotics, combining intelligent automation with deeper cleaning performance," said Karen Powell, Regional Director of Australia and New Zealand at ECOVACS. For those with a tighter budget, the DEEBOT T80S OMNI will join the lineup in April. While it features the slightly older OZMO ROLLER 2.0 tech, it still offers 16 times the mopping pressure of basic dual-plate systems. The T80S doesn't skimp on the essentials, retaining the TruEdge 3.0 edge cleaning and an OMNI station that handles hot water mop washing and hot air drying. ## Pricing and availability The DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI is available from today with an RRP of $2,299. You can pick it up from Bing Lee, Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Retravision, Amazon, and ECOVACS online. The DEEBOT T80S OMNI will be available from 9 April 2026 for $1,799. It will hit Bing Lee, Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Retravision, Amazon, and ECOVACS online. ### Latest vacuum deals

Motorola goes big with Razr Fold and Edge 70 Fusion at MWC 2026 Motorola has been one of the big names in folding phones for the past few years, but it's been exclusively in the clamshell design. At CES, the company first unveiled the RAZR Fold, but at Mobile World Congress this week, Motorola revealed even more details about the upcoming flagship. ## The Razr Fold: A new direction for Motorola The Motorola Razr Fold represents a significant pivot for the brand. While the company has mastered the compact "flip" form factor with its previous Razr 50 Ultra, this is its first attempt at a larger, book-style foldable. It is designed for those who want a tablet-sized experience that can still slip into a pocket. The device features a 6.6-inch external display that is large enough to handle most tasks without needing to open the phone. Once unfolded, you are met with an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO display. This internal screen supports the new Moto Pen Ultra stylus, allowing users to treat the device as a digital notebook for sketching or taking notes during meetings. ## Edge 70 Fusion and the 50-hour battery Beyond the foldables, Motorola is doubling down on battery life with the Edge 70 Fusion. While many flagship phones struggle to last a full day under heavy use, Motorola has crammed a massive 7,000mAh battery into this model. The company claims this will provide up to 50 hours of use on a single charge. It is not just about endurance, though. The Edge 70 Fusion includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main sensor which uses the new Moto AI to improve low-light photography and colour accuracy. The design is equally modern, featuring a quad-curved body and a soft-touch finish inspired by fabric textures. ## New Moto Buds with Bose tuning The audio side of the business is also getting an upgrade with the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus. The Plus model features "Sound by Bose" technology and 11mm dynamic drivers. These earbuds are built for noisy environments, using CrystalTalk AI to filter out background noise during calls and providing up to 40 hours of total battery life with the case. The standard Moto Buds 2 offer a more budget-friendly alternative with dual drivers and a slightly longer 48-hour total battery life. Both models aim to provide a seamless connection within the Motorola ecosystem, especially for those moving between the new Razr and Edge devices. ## Pricing and availability Motorola Australia has confirmed that these devices are headed to our shores, though specific local pricing is still being finalised. Global rollout begins this month, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long for Australian release details to be announced. ### Latest smartphone deals

Apple's M5 MacBook lineup lands with more power, more storage, and two new displays Hot on the heels of yesterday's budget iPhone update, Apple has unveiled its updated lineup of MacBooks powered by the M5 processor. The MacBook Air gets the baseline M5, while the MacBook Pro ships with the new M5 Pro and M5 Max chipsets. ## MacBook Air: more of a good thing Last year's M4 MacBook Air has been my go-to recommendation for most people since it launched, and this update makes that case even stronger. Apple has doubled the base storage to 512GB , and you can now configure it all the way up to 4TB, too. Apple claims the M5 chip delivers up to 4x faster AI task performance than the M4 model, and up to 9.5x faster than the M1. For most users, though, the real-world benefit will simply be snappier performance across the board, including faster app launches, smoother multitasking, and better handling of more demanding creative tasks. The new N1 wireless chip also brings Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 to the Air for the first time, which should mean more reliable connectivity whether you're at home or in a busy café. Everything else that makes the MacBook Air great is still here: the fanless design, up to 18 hours of battery life, the 12MP Center Stage camera, and the Liquid Retina display. It's available in 13- and 15-inch sizes, in sky blue, midnight, starlight, and silver. > "With M5, MacBook Air powers through a wide range of tasks, from everyday productivity to creative workloads, and is even faster for AI," said John Ternus, Apple's senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. Pricing starts at $1,799 for the 13-inch and $2,199 for the 15-inch, with education pricing available. Pre-orders open Thursday 5 March, with availability from Wednesday 11 March. ## MacBook Pro: built for the demanding stuff For users who need serious horsepower, the MacBook Pro gets a substantial upgrade with the new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Apple has introduced what it's calling a "Fusion Architecture" for these chips: essentially combining two dies into a single system on a chip. This allows for significantly more CPU and GPU cores than the standard M5. The M5 Pro delivers up to 4x faster AI performance than M4 Pro, while the M5 Max pushes things even further. Apple is particularly keen to highlight on-device AI capabilities here, with claims of dramatically faster LLM prompt processing and AI image generation. For developers, researchers, and creative professionals running heavy local workloads, these are meaningful improvements. Unified memory bandwidth also sees a big jump: M5 Pro supports up to 307GB/s, while M5 Max hits 614GB/s. The latter can be configured with up to 128GB of unified memory. This is useful if you're working with large datasets, complex 3D scenes, or running multiple demanding applications simultaneously. Storage improvements are also welcome. The M5 Pro model now starts at 1TB, and M5 Max at 2TB. SSD read/write speeds are up to 2x faster than the previous generation, with peak speeds of up to 14.5GB/s on the M5 Max. Both chips support Thunderbolt 5, and the MacBook Pro also gains Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 via the same N1 chip found in the Air. Battery life remains excellent at up to 24 hours. Pricing for the MacBook Pro lineup: * 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 (1TB): from $2,699 * 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro: from $3,499 * 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro: from $4,299 * 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max: from $5,799 * 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max: from $6,299 Education pricing is available across all models. Available in space black and silver, with pre-orders from 5 March and availability from 11 March. ## A new display family Alongside the new laptops, Apple has also announced updates to its Studio Display lineup. The existing Studio Display gets a refresh with a new 12MP Center Stage camera (now with Desk View support), improved bass from its six-speaker system, and a welcome upgrade to Thunderbolt 5 connectivity. It starts at $2,599. The bigger news is the all-new Studio Display XDR, which replaces the Pro Display XDR at $5,499. This is a 27-inch 5K display with a mini-LED backlight featuring over 2,000 local dimming zones, 2,000 nits of peak HDR brightness, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate with Adaptive Sync. It also adds Adobe RGB colour gamut support alongside P3, making it a compelling option for print and design professionals who need accurate colour across multiple colour spaces. Both displays include the same camera and audio system, Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, and are available in standard or nano-texture glass. The Studio Display XDR comes with a tilt- and height-adjustable stand included, while the standard Studio Display ships with a tilt-only stand. Pre-orders open 5 March, with availability from 11 March. ### Latest laptop deals

The MacBook Air doubles its starting storage to 512GB, the MacBook Pro gets the new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, and Apple also debuts a brand-new Studio Display XDR to round out the announcement.

Ninja Swirl by CREAMi review: Nice, ice, baby Quick Verdict The Ninja Swirl by CREAMi delivers impressive soft serve and scooped ice cream at home, with an easy-to-use design and versatile program options. It requires advance planning and extra tub purchases to get the most out of it, and it's not quiet, but for frozen treat lovers with the bench space, it's hard to beat. ✓ Pros * Delicious soft serve results at home * Versatile desserts, including fruit whips, frozen yoghurt, custard and CreamiFit * Simple one-touch controls, easy to operate * Solid build quality with dishwasher-safe components ✗ Cons * Very loud during operation * Requires 24-hour freeze time before use * Large and heavy — not ideal for smaller kitchens * Ice cream left at the bottom of the tub can't be soft served RRP: $549.00 * * * Soft serve ice cream is the essence of Summer. From Mr Whippy vans to cheap cones at McDonald's, there’s something about soft serve vanilla ice cream that reminds me of blue skies and sunshine. So when Ninja launched a version of its iconic viral CREAMi ice cream maker that lets you pull soft serve ice cream at home, I knew I had to test it out. While it’s a pretty large bench top appliance, and requires a fair amount of prep work, the Swirl by CREAMi doesn’t disappoint. Not only does it give you the freedom of making your own delicious soft-serve vanilla ice cream, you can also create any number of flavours. I’ve been testing the Swirl for a few months now, and it’s officially one of my favourite kitchen appliances. There are several areas Ninja can improve the product, but it’s a really fantastic appliance for ice cream lovers. > @bttr_reviews > > At long last I’ve gotten my hands on the @Ninja Kitchen Australia Swirl by Creami ice cream machine for a review on BTTR.reviews. My first thought: I’m going to need more tubs! Interface is straightforward, and while my home-made concoctions are still freezing, it turned some store-bought ice cream into soft serve effortlessly. Keen to put this through its paces! > > ♬ original sound - bttr_reviews ## What makes the Ninja Swirl by CREAMi stand out? The CREAMi isn’t a traditional ice cream making appliance. Instead, you need to create a base, then freeze it before popping it into the CREAMi to churn. The Swirl by CREAMi takes this to the next level, which lets you churn the base for soft serve. In reality, I found myself creating custom bases for soft serve, but arguably you can turn most bases, including ice cream and frozen yoghurt, into soft serve. To be able to do this, the Swirl has a few design tweaks over other CREAMi models. Most notable is the big handle on the side that you pull to extract soft-serve. But more importantly are the custom ice cream tubs that allow you to make regular scooped ice cream as well as soft serve. There are also dedicated one-touch controls for both soft serve and scoop ice cream on the appliance. The controls are simple enough that anybody can comfortably use it, though when you first get started, there’s definitely a lot of checking the instruction manual to make sure you don’t mess anything up. While soft serve may seem like a single option, there are actually six separate options for different soft serve styles. There’s the regular ice cream you know and love, but there’s also a mode for fruit whip (which lets you turn soft, frozen fruit into a healthy ice-cream alternative, light ice cream, frozen yoghurt, frozen custard and Ninja’s CreamiFit, a more healthy alternative to traditional ice cream using protein powders and plant milk. ### Ninja Swirl by CREAMi specs Colour | Platinum Silver ---|--- Wattage | 800W Tub Capacity | 470ml Weight | 9.25kg Settings | 6 Soft Serve Programs, 6 Scoop Programs, Mix-ins Dimensions (cm) | 38.5 W x 25.5 D x 44.5 H Cord Length | 0.9m Accessories | 800W Motor base with Soft Serve Creamify Technology, 2 x CREAMi Swirl 470ml Tubs with nozzles and storage lids, Dispensing lid with swirl press, Outer bowl and lid, Creamerizer Paddle, Pull out drip tray, 20+ handcrafted recipes Warranty | 2 Year Dishwasher Safe | Yes (components) BPA Free | Yes ## Design and build quality The Swirl is not a small bench-top appliance. Measuring in at 44.5 cm high and 38.5 cm wide, it takes up a fair amount of space, and that could be problematic for smaller kitchens. At 9.25 kg, it’s also not overly light. While you can move it to and from a storage cupboard, it’s not necessarily _easy_ to do. The catch is that for the Swirl to do its job, it needs to be that big and solid. It works by spinning a metal blade through the frozen ice cream, so to stop the whole appliance falling over, it needs a really firm base. In addition to the solidly built base, the Swirl also has a few components. There are the ice cream tubs – two of which are supplied in the box – which are designed specifically for the Swirl. You can’t use older CREAMi tubs in this appliance, sadly. These Swirl tubs open at the bottom with a twist, which is what lets the unit force out the soft serve. Combined with the container that holds the tub in place while the ice cream is churned, these plastic accessories do feel solid and robust, and are dishwasher safe for easier cleaning. ## Performance I have had some of the most delicious ice cream of my life from the Swirl. Part of that is arguably just the fact I made it myself. As I said at the start of this review, though – this isn’t a traditional ice cream churner. Instead of gradually making ice cream, you instead mix your ingredients, pop it in the tub and freeze for 24 hours before you need it. That means two things. First, that you are going to want to make bulk batches of ice cream so you always have a tub ready to go. And secondly, that you will need to budget for some extra tubs – the two in the box were nowhere near enough. (Side note: You can add store-bought ice cream into a tub and turn it into soft serve in a pinch, though you still need to have a spare tub ready to go for that). Once you’re ready to eat your ice cream, the Swirl by CREAMi does its job in a few minutes, depending on what it’s churning. Fair warning here, though – this machine gets loud. Like, really loud. The act of churning the frozen ice cream is not quiet. It was a big surprise, if I’m honest, and is probably the biggest downside with the product. It means no late night soft serves once the kids have gone to bed, or breakfast CreamiFits while your wife sleeps in. If Ninja could somehow work out how to make the appliance a bit quieter, it would be impossible to pass up. If you are mixing up an ice cream mix to scoop, you simply remove it from the machine once done and scoop it out. You can add mix-ins like other CREAMi models, which is easily done with a dedicate button on the front of the device. If you’re going for soft serve, there are a couple of extra steps. Once it’s churned on a soft-serve setting, you need to replace the lid with the Swirl press dispensing lid. You then attach this into the top left part of the appliance, inserting and twisting until it clicks in place. After opening the bottom of the tub, you simply pull on the handle to serve your soft serve – it couldn’t be easier. Unfortunately, though, the design of the tub means that a good chunk of ice cream is _always_ left stuck at the bottom of the tub. You can’t actually soft serve an entire tub effectively. I don’t know if there’s a way to physically extract all the ice cream from a tub easily, but it feels like far too much gets left behind when you use soft serve. You can still scoop it out with a spoon, obviously, but it would be even better if you didn’t have to. ## More than just ice cream Probably the most underrated elements of this appliance is that it does much, much more than just ice cream. One of the greatest discoveries I made during this review was freezing a can of peaches, then using the fruit whip setting to turn it into a soft-serve treat. Literally, just peaches in syrup, turned into a delicious treat. Ninja also highlights an option called CreamiFit. It’s a longer cycle, but it lets you create high protein, low sugar treats that taste remarkably close to ice cream using protein powder and milk. Yes, it means you can have guilt-free ice cream for breakfast. Yes, I tested this. Yes, it was delicious. If nothing else, this is almost worth the price of admission on its own. ## Verdict Ninja’s Swirl by CREAMi is a bit too pricey to just be an impulse purchase for most people. But it’s a solid investment for anyone who enjoys ice cream – or frozen treats at least. It is ridiculously easy to use, and the results are fantastic. But you do need to do a bit of prep and plan ahead, which means budgeting for some extra tubs. If you have a small kitchen, you may find the Ninja Swirl to be a bit too bulky. However, if you’ve got the room – and the appetite – then this sweet appliance will satisfy your soft serve cravings. **Buy the Ninja Swirl by CREAMi if you:** * Love ice cream and frozen treats, and want soft serve at home * Don't mind planning ahead and freezing bases 24 hours in advance * Have plenty of bench space for a larger appliance **Skip the Ninja Swirl by CREAMi if you:** * Are sensitive to noise — this machine is seriously loud during operation * Have a smaller kitchen where bench space is at a premium * Want a grab-and-go dessert without the prep work Close up of strawberry ice cream from the Swirl. Looking at this makes me hungry for ice cream. ### Latest deals on Ninja ## Frequently Asked Questions #### Does the Ninja Swirl by CREAMi make real soft serve ice cream? Yes, the Ninja Swirl produces genuine soft serve at home, not just scooped ice cream that's been slightly softened. It uses a dedicated Soft Serve Creamify Technology and a pull-handle dispenser to give you the swirled, creamy texture you'd expect from a soft serve machine. You'll need to prepare and freeze your base 24 hours in advance, but the results are the real deal. #### Can you use old CREAMi tubs with the Ninja Swirl? No. The Ninja Swirl requires its own specially designed tubs, which open at the bottom to allow soft serve to be dispensed through the nozzle. Older CREAMi tubs from previous models are incompatible with the Swirl. #### How long does the Ninja Swirl take to make ice cream? The churning process itself only takes a few minutes once you're ready to go. The bigger time commitment is the 24-hour freeze required after preparing your base. It's worth making multiple batches at once so you always have a tub ready when a craving hits. #### Is the Ninja Swirl by CREAMi only for ice cream? Beyond soft serve and scooped ice cream, the Swirl also handles fruit whips, frozen yoghurt, frozen custard, light ice cream, and Ninja's CreamiFit, a high-protein, low-sugar option made with protein powder and milk. Freezing tinned fruit and running it through the fruit whip setting is a surprisingly delicious (and healthy) treat. #### How loud is the Ninja Swirl by CREAMi? Quite loud. The churning process is one of the most notable downsides of the appliance – it's not something you'd want to run late at night or early in the morning if others are sleeping nearby. It's worth keeping in mind if noise is a concern in your household.

The Ninja Swirl by CREAMi is more than just an ice cream maker. After putting it through its paces, we break down whether this clever appliance deserves a spot on your bench.

Apple brings M4 power and 12GB of memory to the new iPad Air Can you believe we're coming up on 10 months since Apple dropped its M4 chip in the iPad Pro? Now the company is back at it, launching an update to the iPad Air that gives it a big power bump. The big upgrade is the move to the M4 silicon, featuring an 8-core CPU and 9-core GPU. While the previous model was no slouch, this update represents a 30 per cent speed boost over the M3 version and more than double the performance of the ageing M1 model. The real win for users isn't just the raw speed, but the increase in unified memory. Apple has bumped the RAM to 12GB, a 50 per cent increase that will significantly improve multitasking and the longevity of the device as Apple Intelligence features become more demanding. > Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, Bob Borchers, said: "With its blazing performance thanks to M4, incredible AI capabilities, and game-changing iPadOS 26 features, there’s never been a better time to choose or upgrade to iPad Air." ## Faster chips for better connections Connectivity gets a meaningful boost thanks to two new Apple-designed chips: the N1 and C1X. The N1 chip introduces Wi-Fi 7 support to the Air, which offers more stable wireless performance in crowded home or office environments. For those who opt for the cellular model, the C1X modem (which first appeared in the iPhone Air) is designed to be 30 per cent more power-efficient, which means you should see less battery drain when using 5G. ## iPadOS 26 and Liquid Glass The new hardware arrives with iPadOS 26, which features Apple's latest design language called Liquid Glass. This aesthetic change makes the interface feel more reactive to touch and light, and may not be for everybody. But iPadOS 26 also has a new windowing system attempts to make the iPad feel more like a traditional computer without losing its simplicity. There is also a new dedicated Preview app for handling PDFs and sketches, alongside a more customisable Files app that finally allows users to set default applications for specific file types. ## Pricing and availability The new iPad Air is available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes in blue, purple, starlight, and space grey. Storage options range from 128GB up to 1TB. Pre-orders begin in Australia on Thursday, 5 March, with the devices hitting shelves on Wednesday, 11 March. Pricing looks like this: * 11-inch iPad Air (Wi-Fi): From $999 * 11-inch iPad Air (Wi-Fi + Cellular): From $1,249 * 13-inch iPad Air (Wi-Fi): From $1,349 * 13-inch iPad Air (Wi-Fi + Cellular): From $1,599 * Magic Keyboard (11-inch): $449 * Magic Keyboard (13-inch): $499 * Apple Pencil Pro: $219 * Apple Pencil (USB-C): $139 ### Latest tablet deals

iPhone 17e: Double the storage, faster silicon, and a familiar price tag It looks like Apple is definitely deciding to make its more affordable "e" iPhone models an annual release. While the iPhone SE was sporadically announced, the company has backed up last year's iPhone 16e announcement today with the new iPhone 17e. The most immediate win for Australian consumers is the storage capacity. Apple has finally ditched the 128GB floor, starting the iPhone 17e at 256GB for the same $999 entry price we saw last year. Under the hood, the device is powered by the A19 chip. Built on a 3-nanometer process, this is modern silicon designed to handle the generative AI tasks found in iOS 26. We also see the introduction of the C1X cellular modem, which Apple claims is twice as fast as the previous generation while being 30 per cent more power-efficient. ## Modern features and toughened glass The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display now features Ceramic Shield 2. This updated glass offers three times better scratch resistance than the previous generation, which should help the phone maintain its trade-in value over time. Apple has also added a new coating to help reduce glare, a welcome change for anyone trying to use their phone in the harsh Australian sun. The Action button has also made its way to the 17e, replacing the traditional mute switch. This allows users to set physical shortcuts for the torch, camera, or the new visual intelligence features. > “With A19 for incredible performance, double the entry storage, a smarter camera system, and enhanced durability, iPhone 17e is designed to stay fast, secure, and valuable for years to come,” said Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, Kaiann Drance. ### Refined cameras and satellite safety The camera system uses a 48MP Fusion setup similar to the iPhone Air, that essentially acts as two lenses in one, providing an optical-quality 2x Telephoto zoom. The updated image pipeline now handles portraits more intelligently, allowing you to adjust the focus point of a photo after you’ve already taken it. On the safety front, the iPhone 17e retains Apple’s satellite capabilities. This includes Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance via satellite, which is particularly relevant for Australians travelling through the vast areas of the country that sit outside traditional mobile coverage. ## Pricing and availability The iPhone 17e is available to pre-odrer from Thursday, 5 March in black, white, and a new soft pink. The phone will ship from Wednesday 11 March. There are two storage capacities: * **256GB Model:** $999 * **512GB Model:** $1,169 ### Latest iPhone deals

Apple’s affordable iPhone gets a significant power boost with the A19 chip and a storage bump that makes the entry-level model much more viable for 2026.

Ultrahuman Ring PRO: Stretching smart ring battery life to 15 days Maybe it’s just me, but smart rings just make sense as an idea to me. Well, aside from one big drawback. Subtle and indiscreet, smart rings can keep tabs on your health without a bulky body or uncomfortable weight. But their miniature size means battery life is always limited. Typically you’ll get a few days before the ring needs to be charged again. The new Ultrahuman Ring PRO pushes battery life far beyond the norm, up to a huge 15 days. The Ring PRO is the company's third-generation wearable designed for those who want to track their health without the constant need for a charger. It builds on the Ring Air, which launched in Australia back in April last year. While the standard Turbo mode offers about 12 days of battery, switching to Chill mode extends the device's stamina to over 15 days. The ring is built with a titanium unibody architecture for long-term durability and comes in four distinct finishes: Bionic Gold, Space Silver, Aster Black, and Raw Titanium. It also introduces ProRelease technology, a safety feature that allows the ring to be cut apart more easily in the event of an injury or finger swelling. ## Real-time intelligence with Jade The hardware launch is accompanied by the debut of Jade, which Ultrahuman describes as the world's first real-time bio-intelligence AI. Unlike standard AI tools that simply summarise historical data, Jade can supposedly provide actionable interventions in real-time, such as triggering Afib detection or suggesting breathwork. CEO Mohit Kumar explained that the combination of battery life and AI is a major shift for the category. > "Ring Pro's battery life is 3 to 4 times that of the competition. It's a fundamental breakthrough," Kumar said, “With industry-leading hardware paired with Jade bio-intelligence AI, users can now take real-time actionable interventions towards their health than ever before.” ## A dedicated charging case To support the ring's performance, the new PRO Charging Case provides an additional 45 days of battery life for charging on the go. It uses a magnetic UltraSnap system to ensure a secure connection and generates less heat than traditional wireless charging. The case also includes a built-in speaker and smart proximity guidance, allowing you to find the case quickly through the mobile app if it goes missing. The case also acts as a data bridge, capable of storing up to one year of health information. ## Customisable health with PowerPlugs Ultrahuman is expanding its PowerPlugs ecosystem, offering modular apps that allow users to tailor their tracking to specific needs. Recent additions include tools for tracking the effects of GLP-1 medications, snoring analysis, and migraine management insights. The ring also features a redesigned heart-rate sensing architecture and an upgraded dual-core processor to ensure data is processed quickly and accurately on-device. ## Pricing and availability The Ultrahuman Ring PRO is available to preorder now, with delivery beginning later in March. It has an RRP of $739.

Ultrahuman’s third-generation wearable brings a massive battery boost and a real-time AI assistant named Jade.

Xiaomi 17 Series and next-gen wearables land in Australia It's not just Apple and Samsung that like to have big phone announcements. Chinese tech company Xiaomi has unveiled its latest suite of products for the Aussie market, including the new 17 Series smartphone, which boasts Leica imaging tech. The flagship Xiaomi 17 Ultra is clearly aiming for the mobile photography crown, featuring a massive 1-inch main camera sensor and a mechanical optical zoom. By partnering with Leica, Xiaomi has prioritised image quality that looks more like a traditional camera and less like a processed smartphone snap. We also see the arrival of the Leica Leitzphone, a device marking 100 years of the iconic camera brand that includes a physical "Camera Ring" dial to mimic the feel of a real lens. ## Power and durability improvements The 17 Series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which handles heavy tasks like 4K video recording and high-end gaming without breaking a sweat. To keep these power-hungry chips running, Xiaomi has utilised high-density silicon-carbon batteries — technology typically found in electric vehicles — to squeeze up to 6,330 mAh of capacity into a slim frame. The hardware is protected by what Xiaomi calls "Guardian Structure," featuring a new iteration of their Shield Glass that is 30% more drop-resistant than previous models. All phones in the 17 Series carry an IP68 rating, meaning they are well-protected against dust and can survive a dip in freshwater up to six metres deep. ## Smarter wearables and trackers Alongside the phones, the Xiaomi Watch 5 brings Google Gemini and Wear OS to the wrist, allowing you to manage tasks or use Google Wallet for payments. Its standout feature is the 930 mAh battery, which the brand claims can last up to 18 days in power-saving mode, effectively ending the "charge every night" routine. Perhaps the most practical addition is the Xiaomi Tag, a small tracker to take on the AirTag that surprisingly supports both Apple's "Find My" and Google's "Android Find Hub" networks. This makes it an excellent choice for households that use a mix of iPhones and Android devices, as you aren't locked into a single ecosystem. ### Xiaomi 17 Series specs: Feature | Xiaomi 17 | Xiaomi 17 Ultra | Leica Leitzphone ---|---|---|--- **Display** | 6.3-inch OLED, 120Hz LTPO, 3500 nits | 6.9-inch OLED, 120Hz LTPO, 3500 nits | 6.9-inch OLED, 120Hz LTPO, 3500 nits **Processor** | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 **RAM/Storage** | 12GB + 256GB / 512GB | 16GB + 512GB / 1TB | 16GB + 1TB **Battery** | 6330mAh | 6000mAh | 6000mAh **Charging** | 100W Wired, 50W Wireless | 90W Wired, 50W Wireless | 90W Wired, 50W Wireless **Main Camera** | 50MP, f/1.67, OIS | 50MP (1-inch sensor), f/1.67, OIS | 50MP (1-inch sensor), f/1.67, OIS **Telephoto** | 50MP (60mm), f/2.0, OIS | 200MP (75-100mm), f/2.39, OIS | 200MP (75-100mm), f/2.39, OIS **Ultra-Wide** | 50MP, f/2.4 | 50MP, f/2.2 | 50MP, f/2.2 **OS** | Xiaomi HyperOS 3 | Xiaomi HyperOS 3 | Xiaomi HyperOS 3 **Durability** | IP68, Shield Glass | IP68, Shield Glass 3.0 | IP68, Shield Glass 3.0 ## Pricing and availability The new Xiaomi range is available for purchase in Australia now. * **Xiaomi 17:** $1,399 (256GB) or $1,599 (512GB). * **Xiaomi 17 Ultra:** $1,799 (512GB) or $1,999 (1TB). * **Leica Leitzphone:** $2,299 (1TB). * **Xiaomi Watch 5:** $499. * **REDMI Buds 8 Pro:** $119. * **Xiaomi Tag:** $29.50 (single) or $99.50 (four-pack). * **Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank:** $129 (Black/Silver) or $149 (Orange). **Introductory offers:** Customers who buy any 17 Series phone before 18 March can grab the Xiaomi Watch 5 for half price ($249). ECOVACS DEEBOT NEO 2.0 returns to ALDI for under $300 While I tend to review a lot more of the premium robot vacuum cleaners these days, my first robot vacuum was the cheap ECOVACS N8, which I picked up for a couple hundred dollars during a Black Friday sale. It changed my life. I don't say that lightly either. If you're looking to try out a robot vacuum in your home and don't have the budget for a $2,000 flagship, then ECOVACS has a really solid option for you this weekend. ## High-end power for a middle-aisle price The DEEBOT NEO 2.0 is returning to ALDI Special Buys on March 7th for just $279. While its standard retail price usually sits around $699, this promotion brings it well into the "impulse buy" territory for anyone tired of pushing a manual vacuum around. Despite the low entry fee, the specs are surprisingly punchy. ECOVACS has packed in 5,000 Pa of suction power, making it more than capable of lifting pet hair and stubborn dust from carpet crevices. ### Smart mapping and mopping The NEO 2.0 uses LDS laser navigation to scan your home and create a digital map in real-time. This means it knows exactly where it has been and where it needs to go, rather than wandering aimlessly around your furniture. It features both a dustbin and a water tank to vacuum and mop in a single pass. For those with a mix of flooring, the built-in ultrasonic sensors tell the robot to avoid carpets while the mop is attached so you don’t end up with a damp rug. ### Built for the busy Australian household With many Australians feeling the "time squeeze" due to work and family commitments, the focus here is on reducing the mental load of housework. The robot can be scheduled via the ECOVACS Home App or triggered by voice via Google Home or Amazon Alexa. > “ECOVACS is all about making everyday life a little easier, and the DEEBOT NEO 2.0 is the perfect entry into the world of hands-free cleaning,” said Karen Powell, Regional Director for ECOVACS Australia and New Zealand. The battery life is also a standout, offering up to 180 minutes of runtime. If it does run low before finishing a large house, it is smart enough to return to its dock, recharge, and then resume exactly where it left off. * * * ## Pricing and availability * **RRP:** $279 (Down from $699) * **Release Date:** 7 March 2026 * **Retailers:** ALDI Australia (Special Buys) ### Latest vacuum deals

One of the most popular budget floor cleaners in Australia is returning to the ALDI middle aisle with a massive 60% discount.

TP-Link expands solar security range with new dual-lens Tapo C645D KIT Just a month after TP-Link hit the market with its 4K C660 KIT solar powered home security camera, it's launching a second 2K model for the dual lens crowd. The new Tapo C645D KIT is designed specifically for those who need to monitor large outdoor areas without the headache of running cables or climbing ladders to swap batteries. By combining a wide-angle lens with a 6mm telephoto lens, the unit provides a dual 2K view that covers more ground than a standard single-lens setup. The system uses 360-degree pan and tilt functionality to actively follow subjects, ensuring that once a person or vehicle is detected, the camera keeps them in frame as they move across your property. Power management is a core focus, with a substantial 10,000mAh rechargeable battery tucked inside, and a dedicated solar panel in the box. In high-traffic areas where frequent motion triggers might otherwise drain a standard battery quickly, this is going to be useful. The camera is built to handle the often harsh Australian environment, carrying an IP65 weather-resistant rating that protects it against dust, heavy rain, and direct sun. Connectivity has also seen an upgrade over entry-level models, with support for dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) to ensure a more stable high-definition stream even if the camera is mounted further away from the router. Neville Wang, Managing Director at TP-Link Australia and New Zealand, noted that the kit is built for active monitoring rather than passive recording. > "Homeowners want security that can actively follow what’s happening, not just record it," Wang said. "The Tapo C645D KIT was developed to provide wider visibility and intelligent tracking in a format that’s easy to install and flexible to position." The AI smarts built into the unit allow it to distinguish between people, pets, and vehicles, which helps reduce the number of "false alarm" notifications sent to your phone from swaying trees or passing birds. Users can manage the feed through the Tapo app, which allows for simultaneous viewing of both lenses and includes two-way audio for speaking to delivery drivers or guests. ## Pricing and availability The Tapo C645D KIT 2K Dual-Lens Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit is available now in Australia for an RRP of $379. ### Latest home security deals

The latest 2K dual-lens camera from TP-Link pairs a 10,000mAh battery with solar charging to eliminate blind spots and wiring woes.

Anker SOLIX C1000 and C2000 Gen 2 bring record-breaking charge speeds to Australia Portable power stations are a game changer for campers. They give you enough juice to keep all your gadgets charged, as well as the power to not have to sacrifice a premium coffee experience. But keeping a charger charged is always a bit of a pain. Anker Solix thinks it can turn that around though with its new C1000 Gen2 and C2000 Gen 2 power stations, which can fully charge in just 49 minutes. That's a Guinness World Record. The new Gen 2 range reduces the physical bulk without sacrificing electrical muscle. By using a new construction method where the battery cells are integrated directly into the frame, the C1000 Gen 2 is roughly 14% smaller than its predecessor. For those hauling gear into the bush or onto a job site, these weight savings are meaningful. The 1kWh C1000 weighs in at 11.3 kg, while the larger 2kWh C2000 sits at 18.9 kg. These units aren't just for charging phones; they are built to keep the lights on during a blackout or run a remote worksite. With a 2,000W continuous output on the C1000 and 2,400W on the C2000, they can comfortably run high-draw appliances like fridges, kettles, and even power tools. Anker SOLIX APAC General Manager Symons Xie noted that portable power is becoming a daily necessity rather than a niche luxury. > "Power outages and off-grid travel aren’t edge cases in Australia but instead they’re part of everyday life for a lot of households," Xie said. ### Reliability for the home and worksite A key feature for anyone using these as a home backup solution is the 10ms Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) switchover. This ensures that if your mains power fails, the station kicks in fast enough that sensitive electronics like fridges or desktop computers won't shut down. The batteries themselves use LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry, which is generally safer and longer-lasting than standard lithium-ion. Anker rates these for a 10-year lifespan, which should give peace of mind to those living in storm-prone regions. Recharging is handled via standard wall outlets, solar panels, or even your car’s alternator while you are driving. For those with higher energy needs, the C2000 can be expanded to 4kWh with an extra battery pack, effectively doubling your runtime. * * * ## Pricing and availability The Anker SOLIX Gen 2 range will be available in Australia from March 12, 2026. * **RRP:** From $999 (C1000 Gen 2) and $1,799 (C2000 Gen 2) * **Release date:** March 12, 2026 * **Retailers:** Selected retailers and online via Anker Solix * **Early-bird offers:** Registered customers between February 25 and March 11 can access perks including a free 100W solar panel for the first 50 C1000 purchasers, or a free 800W alternator charger for C2000 purchasers. ### Latest Anker Solix deals

Smaller, lighter, and faster than their predecessors, Anker’s latest power stations are designed to tackle Australian blackouts and off-grid adventures.

Cricut refreshes its entry-level lineup with the Joy 2 and Explore 5 I love the promise of creativity that Cricut inspires. I've been testing out the Cricut Maker 4 for a few weeks now, and it's such an impressively built piece of hardware. But it's also overkill for people just starting out on their crafting journeys. As much as I'm intrigued to try it, I can't see myself engraving metal any time soon. Enter Cricut's newest products. The Cricut Joy 2 and Cricut Explore 5 represent a significant shift toward making the "making" process more accessible. Both machines have been redesigned to take up less space on your desk while making the software side of things much less intimidating for beginners. ### A more portable DIY companion The Cricut Joy 2 remains the baby of the family, but it has learned some impressive new tricks. It now features a "Print Then Cut" sensor, which is a big deal for anyone who wants to create their own full-colour stickers using a home printer. Weighing in at just over 1kg, it is designed to be tucked away in a cupboard or moved around the house easily. It can handle more than 75 different materials, from basic cardstock to iron-on vinyl for customising T-shirts. ### Shrinking the power of the Explore For those who need a bit more versatility without the bulk of a professional machine, the Cricut Explore 5 is the place to start. It is 30 per cent more compact than its predecessor, finished in a neutral taupe that should blend into modern home decor much better than the tech-heavy looks of the past. Despite the smaller footprint, it still offers the full 12-inch cutting width. It also works with six different tools for writing, drawing, and scoring, making it a solid middle-ground option for wedding decor or custom magnets. ### Software that holds your hand Hardware is only half the experience with these machines, and Cricut is leaning heavily into a revamped Design Space experience. The new "Guided Flows" feature acts as a digital assistant, showing you exactly what tools and materials you need based on the project you select. > "Our users have consistently told us they want products that are easier to use and more affordable," said Ashish Arora, CEO at Cricut. "We listened and simplified the entire experience end-to-end." The update also includes Create AI for paid subscribers, which generates custom designs from text prompts. If you have ever wanted to see what a "dinosaur with a unicorn horn riding a skateboard" looks like as a vinyl decal, the software can now build that for you in seconds. Both machines are being sold as "Essential Bundles" in Australia, meaning you get the machine, a selection of materials, and the necessary tools to start your first project the moment you get home. ## Pricing and availability The Cricut Joy 2 and Cricut Explore 5 will be available from Friday, 6th March 2026. Samsung unveils Galaxy S26 series: Proactive AI and world-first privacy display It's that time of year again, were Samsung announces its latest lineup of flagship Galaxy S devices. As you might expect, AI is again a big focus of this year's lineup, but the real highlight of the show is the user-controlled privacy display. Samsung is leaning heavily into "agentic AI" with the Galaxy S26 series, aiming to make mobile intelligence proactive rather than just reactive. New features like Now Nudge and Now Brief work in the background to suggest photos to friends or surface travel reminders based on your private context. The integration of third-party agents like Gemini and Perplexity allows the device to handle complex, multi-step tasks, such as booking a taxi through a single voice prompt. Samsung’s goal is for the technology to "fade into the background," handling the heavy lifting while users focus on the results. ## Hardware that prioritises privacy The standout hardware innovation this year is the Privacy Display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Unlike a physical screen filter, this built-in technology controls light at the pixel level to limit viewing angles, protecting sensitive information in public spaces like cafes or on public transport. Under the hood, the Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. To keep things cool during intensive AI tasks or gaming, Samsung has redesigned the vapour chamber and introduced Super-Fast Charging 3.0 for quicker top-ups. ## A refined camera and creative studio The Galaxy S26 Ultra features the brand's widest aperture camera to date, significantly improving light intake for night photography and video. A new Creative Studio space allows users to turn sketches or prompts into polished visuals, while the Photo Assist suite can now perform complex edits—like changing a user's outfit or restoring missing parts of an image—just by describing the desired change. Eric Chou, Vice President of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Australia, noted the shift in strategy: > "These new devices seek to provide Australians with intuitive personalisation, as Samsung's AI strategy is built around three principles – reach, openness and confidence – designed to move AI from experimentation to everyday reliance." ## Galaxy Buds4 and the New Galaxy Club Alongside the phones, the Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro introduce a refreshed ergonomic design and intelligent adaptive controls. The Pro model features a wider woofer for richer sound and improved Active Noise Cancellation that adapts to your environment in real-time. Both models support head gestures, allowing users to manage calls by simply nodding or shaking their head. Samsung also launched the New Galaxy Club in Australia, a subscription-based loyalty program. It guarantees a future trade-in value of up to 50 per cent of the retail price and includes Samsung Care+ protection, simplifying the upgrade path to next year's model. * * * ## Pricing and availability The Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Buds4 series are available for pre-order in Australia starting today, with general availability from 11 March 2026. ### Galaxy S26 series RRP Device | Configuration | RRP (AUD) ---|---|--- Galaxy S26 | 256GB | $1,549 Galaxy S26 | 512GB | $1,849 Galaxy S26+ | 256GB | $1,849 Galaxy S26+ | 512GB | $2,149 Galaxy S26 Ultra | 256GB | $2,199 Galaxy S26 Ultra | 512GB | $2,499 Galaxy S26 Ultra | 1TB | $2,949 ### Galaxy Buds4 series RRP * Galaxy Buds4: $299 * Galaxy Buds4 Pro: $399 ### Australian retailers Available via Samsung.com.au, Samsung Experience Store, Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, and Officeworks. ### Latest smartphone deals

Samsung’s latest flagship trio focuses on "agentic AI" that anticipates user needs and debuts a hardware-integrated Privacy Display for the Ultra model.

DJI brings drone-grade obstacle sensing to your living room with ROMO Robot vacuums seems like a bit of a strange category shift for drone company DJI. But when you factor in all the sensors and obstacle avoidance software in drones, pivoting to home cleaning isn't too crazy at all. The new ROMO series, consisting of the ROMO P, ROMO A, and ROMO S, brings millimetre-level obstacle sensing technology directly from DJI’s flagship drones into the home. By leveraging dual fisheye vision sensors and solid-state LiDAR, these vacuums can identify and navigate around objects as thin as a 2mm charging cable. DJI says the goal is to provide a truly hassle-free experience by combining these advanced sensors with smart algorithms and ultra-strong suction. This deep environmental awareness allows the ROMO to map out efficient paths under furniture and around irregular objects without getting stuck or creating a mess. Performance-wise, the ROMO delivers up to 25,000 Pascals of suction power, which is up there with many current market leaders. To ensure edge-to-edge cleaning, the device features dual flexible arms that automatically extend to reach into corners and along wall edges. Maintenance has also been a major focus, with DJI claiming the all-round self-cleaning base station allows for up to 200 days of operation without user intervention, though this excludes emptying the dirty water tank. The station handles everything else though, from washing the mop pads with high-pressure jets to emptying the waste and suppressing noise during the dust collection process. The premium ROMO P model stands out with a unique industrial aesthetic, featuring transparent panels on the robot and base station to showcase the precision engineering inside. It also includes a dedicated compartment for floor deodoriser, allowing it to refresh the home while it tackles kitchen grease. Control is handled via the DJI Home app, which offers customisable cleaning plans, smart carpet identification, and even a remote check-in feature using the onboard cameras. Privacy is addressed through two-factor authentication and encrypted video transmission, with the option to disable the camera entirely. ## Pricing and availability The DJI ROMO is available for pre-order from DJI and authorised retail partners. * **DJI ROMO P:** From $2,299 * **DJI ROMO A:** From $1,899 * **DJI ROMO S:** From $1,599 ### Latest vacuum deals

The world's leading drone maker is trading the sky for the carpet, launching a three-tier range of robot vacuums packed with sophisticated sensors.

DJI ROMO P review: Invisible cleaner Quick Verdict DJI has gone hard on its first robot vacuum, and it shows. The ROMO P's drone-derived obstacle avoidance is one of the best we've tested, the hot-water self-cleaning base is impressively thorough, and the transparent design is a striking flex. At $2,299 though, it's a steep ask, especially when the DJI Home app still lacks Alexa and Google Home support, and the 98mm robot height means it won't slip under lower-profile furniture that cheaper rivals handle with ease. ✓ Pros * Best-in-class obstacle avoidance detects objects as thin as 2mm — cables and playing cards included * Hot-water self-cleaning base keeps mop pads clean, not just rinsed * Floor deodoriser compartment is a ROMO P exclusive and a nice touch for pet owners * 200-day maintenance-free operation with UV antibacterial dust bag is hard to argue with ✗ Cons * No Alexa or Google Home support — the DJI Home app is the only option for now * At 98mm tall, it won't fit under furniture that many competitors handle without issue * $2,299 is a premium price in a market where Roborock and Ecovacs offer fierce competition RRP: $2,299 AUD * * * DJI is definitely not a brand you think of when it comes to vacuum cleaners. The company built its empire on drones, which in turn developed into action cameras and gimbals. The connection to robotic vacuums is a bit more tenuous, but it is there. The ROMO P takes advantage of DJI’s advanced sensors and smart algorithms, which give it the ability to intelligently mop and clean your home. The same tech that lets you fly a drone without it crashing into a wall here lets you clean right to the edge of your floor. But even though there are definite technology overlaps, a robot vacuum is a risky bet for the drone company. There are plenty of dedicated robot vacuum brands that have been developing their own models for longer, which gives them a definite advantage. Does DJI compete? Absolutely, though as with any company’s first product in a new category, I’m tempted to suggest waiting for the sequel before investing in a ROMO robot vacuum. ## What makes the DJI ROMO P stand out? DJI knew that it would have to do _something_ to stand out when it launched its first robot vacuum in an already crowded market. And so the DJI ROMO P has a transparent design. It’s not just the vacuum itself that boasts a clear casing so you can see the internal bits. The entire dock also has the same invisible skin aesthetic. It reminds me of Nothing’s phones – a unique design proposition that is designed to grab your attention so you will take a closer look at the product itself. There’s some good stuff under the hood here, by the way. The ROMO P has 25,000 Pa of suction power, with binocular fisheye + dual solid-state LiDARs to detect obstacles around the home. It has dual robotic arms and an extendable side brush to help clean in corners and to the edge of your floors. And interestingly, the roller brushes underneath the vacuum don’t quite meet in the middle, allowing larger chunks of dirt and debris to get sucked up without getting caught. It also helps minimise hair tangles, inverting the way rollers like the Dyson PencilVac works. The base is pretty solid, too. It offers a three-stage sound suppression system to help minimise the volume of the dock while it empties and cleans the different components. The design of the washboard at the bottom uses four high-pressure water jets and a large diameter waste outlet to thoroughly clean the circular mop pads, washing with hot water and drying with hot air and a UV sterilisation system. DJI claims you’ll get up to 200 days of maintenance free cleaning. That doesn’t include emptying the dirty water tank, though, which you should do after every clean if you want to avoid gagging at the smell when you open it up. That’s not a DJI issue, though. ### DJI ROMO P specs Category | Spec | Value ---|---|--- Robot | Model | CR8E Robot | Dimensions (width×depth×height) | 351×351×98 mm Robot | Weight | 4.4 kg (9.7 lbs) Robot | Appearance | Transparent Robot | Suction Power | 25000 Pa Robot | Dustbin Capacity | 260 ml Robot | Battery | Capacity: 5,000 mAh / Energy: 72 Wh Robot | Rated Voltage | 14.4 V Robot | Rated Input | 20 V Robot | Runtime | 3 hours Robot | Charging Power | 55 W Robot | Wi-Fi Transmitter Power (EIRP) | 2.4000 GHz to 2.4835 GHz: < 20 dBm (CE) / 5.150 GHz to 5.350 GHz: < 23 dBm (CE) / 5.470 GHz to 5.725 GHz: < 23 dBm (CE) / 5.725 GHz to 5.835 GHz: < 14 dBm (CE) Robot | Wi-Fi Protocol | 802.11b/g/n, 802.11a/n/ac Robot | Bluetooth Protocol | Bluetooth 5.0 Robot | Bluetooth Transmitter Power (EIRP) | 2.4000–2.4835 GHz: <10 dBm Robot | Charging Time | 2.5 hours Base Station | Model | CS8E Base Station | Dimensions (width×depth×height) | 453×425×440 mm Base Station | Weight | 10 kg (22.05 lbs) Base Station | Appearance | Transparent Base Station | Waste Water Tank Deodorization Module | Standard Base Station | Antibacterial Cleaning Solution | Supported Base Station | Dust Bag UV Antibacterial | Supported Base Station | Tank Capacity | Clean Water Tank: 4 L / Waste Water Tank: 3.2 L Base Station | Dust Bag Capacity | 2.4 L Base Station | Rated Input | 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz Base Station | Rated Output | 20 V ⎓ 3 A Base Station | Rated Power | Recharge: 55 W / Drying and Recharge: 110 W / Dust Collection: 635 W / Self-Cleaning With Hot Water: 1100 W Base Station | Bluetooth Protocol | Bluetooth 5.1 Base Station | Bluetooth Transmitter Power (EIRP) | 2.4000 GHz to 2.4835 GHz: < 10 dBm General | Operating Temperature | 0° to 40° C (32° to 104° F) General | Charging Temperature | 5° to 40° C (41° to 104° F) ## Design and build quality I’ll be up front here – I don’t love the ROMO P’s design. There is definitely an element of intrigue at being able to see certain components of a robot vacuum, but this is also the type of appliance you want to have out of sight and out of mind. From a marketing perspective, it’s great, but from a “having this appliance in my home” perspective, it feels like it’s not for me. But that’s my subjective opinion. I know there’s certainly going to be a market for people who love the idea of seeing the transparent casing of the ROMO P in their home. Fortunately, the design hasn’t led to any sacrifices in build quality. The base and the robot itself both feel solid and well-built. After several weeks of testing, I had no issues with the physical product. I really like the way DJI has combined two shorter roller brushes to not-quite-meet in the middle. This allows for an anti-tangle design that keeps longer hair from wrapping around the rollers, as well as letting the robot pick up larger bits. The robot is quite low to the ground, as there’s no protruding head on the vacuum to get caught on lower pieces of furniture. ## Cleaning performance One of the challenges I think DJI will face as it enters the market with the ROMO P is that it’s launching at a time that traditional manufacturers are leaning into roller or track mops. Dyson, Ecovacs, Dreame, Narwal and Roborock all have models that use the newer roller or track mop. And I’ve got to say that once you’ve tried one of those mops, going back to the spinning mop pads is a recipe for disappointment. The vacuum quality of the ROMO P is actually pretty good. While the 25,000 Pa of suction power isn’t at the same level as the best vacuum cleaners, it’s still remarkably strong, and does a fantastic job of sucking up everything from dirt and dust to larger chunks of food dropped on the floor. Things like muesli and garlic peel were easily picked up by the ROMO P. On the mopping front – look, it’s not terrible. As a general maintenance device that wets your floor and keeps it clean, it’s perfectly fine. But as a device for cleaning up spills or stubborn messes, the ROMO’s rotating mop pads just don’t really compete with the more advanced mops on the market. I fully expect DJI to address this, though. This is a first generation product for them, and I expect that the second generation will be up to speed on the mopping front for a flagship robot vacuum. One other little anecdote I did find it strange that the vacuum doesn’t automatically empty its dustbin _after_ a cleaning cycle, though. Instead, it empties _before_ it starts the next cycle. That means all the dust it collects just... sits there, in the vacuum, instead of the disposal bag. You can change the empty feature to be on a schedule or manually controlled, but surely it should just be emptied every time the vacuum returns to the dock? ## Ease of use Probably the most notable area the DJI model outperforms its competitors is in the DJI Home app. Once the vacuum is connected and setup, the Home Screen offers a range of shortcuts to different customisable cleaning modes. Sure, you can build a full cleaning routine with scheduled start and finish times, just like every other robot vacuum on the market. But what I loved was being able to create a shortcut to just vacuum the kids’ carpeted bedrooms. Or a deep clean cycle for the kitchen that vacuums and mops in turbo mode to give the kitchen a proper clean after cooking. The ROMO did an exceptional job mapping my home, requiring very few manual edits. This is something I’ve found many vacuums struggle with, but DJI’s sensors did an impressive job of that, as well as determining the floor type and location. Obstacle avoidance is also fantastic. In just over a month of testing, it never chewed up a cable or got stuck on an errant sock. It did get stuck between the wall and my toilet on multiple occasions, though – I guess it thinks it’s a bit thinner than it actually is. Interestingly, there’s no smart home integration here. There is a built-in voice assistant, “Hey ROMO”, in the app, but it did not appear to support English as I tested the vacuum. While I expect the Hey ROMO feature could arrive by the launch window, the lack of Matter or even custom Alexa or Google Home skills leaves the ROMO P at a disadvantage over other leading devices. ## Power and battery With a 5,000 mAh battery, the ROMO P has enough juice to clean your whole home in a single attempt, depending on how you approach things. I found that using the vacuum then mop option for my three bedroom home means it needed a couple of attempts. But just a straight vacuum or a combined vacuum and mop cycle did the job without a worry. On the upside, the robot supports 55W fast charging from the dock, so it’s ready to get back out there fully charged in about 2.5 hours. The 25,000 Pa of suction is a headline feature, and something you’ll only get on Turbo mode, but I did find the suction of the ROMO to be solid on the default settings. It picks up most debris without an issue. ## Verdict The DJI ROMO P is an impressive first outing in the robot vacuum space for a company better known for flying cameras. Its solid suction, easy to use app and self-cleaning dock make it a solid alternative in a crowded market. The design will not be for everyone, though. Its industrial chic stands out, and that may not be what you want in a device designed to clean your home. The decision to stick with the oscillating mop pads helps keep the price down, but also leaves this model, DJI’s first flagship, struggling to compete on mopping performance with devices like the Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni, Narwal Flow or Dreame Aqua10 Pro Ultra Track S. Like I say with almost any first-gen product – it may be worth waiting for the second generation so that DJI can work out the kinks. But even if you don’t, it’s clear that the ROMO P is DJI’s announcement it’s coming for the lucrative robot vacuum market. **Buy the DJI ROMO if you:** * Want some of the best obstacle avoidance on the market and a hands-off cleaning experience — the self-cleaning dock and 200-day maintenance window is hard to beat * Are already in the DJI ecosystem and want a vacuum that plays nicely with the DJI Home app's customisable cleaning modes * Love a design statement – if the Nothing Phone aesthetic appeals to you, the transparent casing will look right at home **Skip the DJI ROMO if you:** * Prioritise mopping performance, as roller and track mop systems from Narwal, Dreame, and Roborock do a noticeably better job on stubborn messes * Have a lot of low-profile furniture because at 98 mm tall, the ROMO P will miss spots that slimmer competitors clean without issue * Are deep in the Google or Amazon smart home ecosystem, as this lacks Alexa or Google Home support ### Latest vacuum deals The transparent design of the ROMO P dock ## Frequently Asked Questions #### Does the DJI ROMO P work with Alexa or Google Home? Not currently. The ROMO P uses the DJI Home app for all scheduling and control, and does not support Alexa, Google Home, or Matter at launch. There is a built-in "Hey ROMO" voice assistant in the app, though English language support was not functional at the time of our testing. #### How often do you need to empty and refill the DJI ROMO P's tanks? The base station's 2.4L dust bag can go up to 200 days between changes under normal use. The clean water tank holds 4L, which should last several cleans depending on floor size. The 3.2L dirty water tank, however, should be emptied after every clean, as leaving wastewater sitting in the tank quickly becomes unpleasant. #### Is the DJI ROMO P good for pet hair? Yes, with an exception. The dual roller brush design specifically avoids the rollers meeting in the middle, which significantly reduces hair tangling — a common issue on other robot vacuums. The floor deodoriser compartment, exclusive to the ROMO P, is a bonus for pet owners dealing with odours. #### How does the DJI ROMO P compare to the ROMO A and ROMO S? All three models have the same core cleaning hardware, sensors, and obstacle avoidance system. The ROMO P ($1,899) and ROMO S ($1,599) are more conventional in appearance and drop some of those premium base station features. #### Does the DJI ROMO P mop and vacuum at the same time? Yes. The ROMO P can vacuum and mop simultaneously in a single pass, or you can run them as separate cycles. It always sweeps before mopping to avoid dragging debris across the floor with the mop pads. Note that the ROMO uses oscillating circular mop pads rather than the roller or track mop systems found on some rivals, which limits its effectiveness on stubborn stains and dried spills.

DJI has no business making one of the better robot vacuums on the market. And yet here we are: mostly impressed, occasionally frustrated, and curious to see what version two looks like.

Belkin's new Galaxy S26 accessories bring Qi2 magnets and 'Nano-Titan' protection Even a few years after it first arrived, magnetic wireless charging like MagsSafe or Qi2 is one of my favourite smartphone features. Which is why I was so shocked that Samsung decided not to include the magnets in its new lineup of Galaxy S26 smartphones. Like previous generations, while the phones support faster wireless charging speeds, the magnetic alignment is exclusively available through accessories. Enter Belkin. Belkin's range of Magsafe accessories for the iPhone are exceptional, so I expect the Galaxy S26 lineup to be equally high quality. ### Bringing Qi2 to the Galaxy While Samsung has opted not to build magnets directly into the Galaxy S26 chassis, Belkin is filling that void with its SHEERFORCE case collection. These cases are ‘Designed for Samsung’ certified, meaning they meet strict internal standards for fit and safety. The standout feature here is the integrated magnet array, which allows the S26 to take advantage of the Qi2 wireless charging standard at 25W. This provides the "snap-on" convenience we’ve seen on iPhones, ensuring the phone is perfectly aligned with the charging coil every time. ### Tougher materials and smarter glass Beyond power, Belkin is leaning heavily into "Nano-Titan" technology for its protection range. This refers to a material infusion designed to improve shock absorption and heat dissipation, which is crucial for maintaining battery health during fast charging sessions. The Titan EcoGuard ($49.95) uses a flexible polymer that absorbs impact rather than cracking like traditional tempered glass, while the Titan SmartShield ($39.95) offers a rigid 9H hardness for those who prefer a glass feel. Both are verified to work with Samsung’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, which often struggle with third-party protectors. ### One Dock for the Ecosystem For those fully immersed in the Android camp, the UltraCharge Modular Charging Dock ($119.95) acts as a central hub. It handles the 25W Qi2 charging for the S26 while providing space for earbuds and a smartwatch. It features a clever "bring-your-own-puck" design for the watch charger, ensuring that regardless of which Galaxy Watch or third-party wearable you use, the dock remains compatible. * * * ## Pricing and availability The Belkin Samsung Galaxy S26 collection is available now from Belkin, Amazon, and selected Australian retailers. * **SHEERFORCE Clear Case:** $59.95 * **SHEERFORCE Protect Case (Black/Navy):** $59.95 * **Titan EcoGuard Red Light Screen Protector:** $49.95 * **Titan SmartShield Screen Protector:** $39.95 * **UltraCharge Modular Charging Dock:** $119.95 ### Latest case deals

Belkin bridges the gap for Samsung’s latest flagship with a new suite of 'Designed for Samsung' cases and chargers that finally add magnetic alignment to the S26.

Gozney Arc Lite: A portable powerhouse for the balcony pizza enthusiast My last attempt at cooking pizzas in an outdoor oven wasn't overly successful. The Ninja Woodfire Oven is an impressive outdoor appliance, but it's bulk and door can make it a little challenging to place and remove a pizza. Gozney knows more about making pizza than I ever will, and has just announced its latest addition to its gas-powered pizza range. The Arc Lite is a compact extension of the popular Gozney Arc series, specifically designed for those with limited outdoor space. Whether you are working with a small apartment balcony or a rooftop terrace, this oven aims to deliver professional-grade results without the footprint of a permanent installation. Despite its smaller stature, it still manages a top temperature of 500ºC, which is apparently the magic number for achieving a proper Neapolitan-style crust. It uses Gozney’s signature lateral rolling flame, which mimics the environment of a traditional wood-fired oven by arcing heat over the top of the pizza. At just 12kg, the Arc Lite is significantly more portable than its larger siblings, making it easier to move between storage and your cooking area. Gozney has also prioritised ease of use with a simplified gas connection and a front-facing control dial for managing the flame. > "Everyone deserves to experience cooking with real fire. That’s where Arc Lite comes in," said Tom Gozney, Founder and CEO of Gozney. > > "It’s compact, powerful, and easy to use. You can place it on a balcony or take it to your mate’s, and it still kicks out the same flame and heat as our bigger ovens," he said. The oven features a fully insulated body to maintain steady performance even in breezy outdoor environments. It is finished in an "Off Black" colourway, keeping with the sleek, modern aesthetic the brand has become known for. ## Pricing and availability The Gozney Arc Lite will be available for purchase in Australia from 3 March. It will set you back $649 RRP and will be available directly from Gizney's online store and selected retailers.

The new gas-powered Arc Lite brings professional-grade high-heat performance to smaller spaces at a more accessible price point.

Shark targets stubborn stains with new SteamSpot Steam Mop One of the reasons I like robot vacuum cleaners so much is that they mean I don't have to do too much in the way of manual cleaning. I'm a big believer in working smarter, not harder. Shark is latching onto that idea too, with its latest steam cleaner. The SteamSpot Steam Mop (try saying that three times quickly) does away with detergent and uses steam to help you clean your home. Shark’s new lightweight mop, weighing in at just 2.2kg, is designed to make those manual interventions as painless as possible. Using "Steam Blaster" technology, the mop delivers a concentrated burst of steam directly onto tough grime with the press of a button. According to Shark, it promises to lift stuck-on stains up to 50% more effectively than a standard steam mop. It’s an chemical-free solution that relies entirely on water, which Shark says can sanitise your floors by killing up to 99.9% of common household bacteria. This makes it a compelling option for households with pets or young children crawling around. The SteamSpot offers three distinct cleaning modes: Low for quick refreshes, Medium for your standard weekly clean, and High for deep-cleaning sessions. It also comes with reusable "Dirt Grip" pads that are machine-washable, meaning you won't be constantly buying disposable refills. Given the popularity of the brand's cordless vacuums (like the Cordless Detect Pro) in Australia, this new addition feels like a logical step for Shark. Just remember that it's really only for those wanting to round out their cleaning cupboard with something focused on hard floors like tile, stone, or sealed timber. ## Pricing and availability The Shark SteamSpot (model S2001ANZ) has an RRP of $299.99. It is available now through Shark’s official Australian website and at major local retailers including Myer and Harvey Norman.

Shark's latest cleaning tool uses high-pressure steam to sanitise floors and blast away sticky messes without the need for harsh chemicals.

Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S review: Mo' Mopping Quick Verdict The Aqua10 Ultra Track S delivers on its promise of superior mopping with genuine innovation in obstacle climbing, but the premium price tag and bulky dock mean it's only worth it if you have challenging floor layouts and serious mopping needs. ✓ Pros * TrackSync hot water mopping system is exceptional * 6cm obstacle climbing handles thresholds other robots can't * Powerful 30,000Pa suction with zero-tangle brush design * Comprehensive self-cleaning with 100°C hot water and UV sterilisation ✗ Cons * Robot's dustbin is compact and gets clogged * Premium pricing at $2,999 puts it above many competitors * Battery may not quite last a full home clean on some settings * Overkill if you don't have complex floor layouts or heavy mopping needs RRP: $2,999 * * * It surprised me somewhat to discover that it has been a couple of years since I last reviewed a Dreame robot vacuum. It surprised me even more to discover how far the technology has come in that time. The last model I tested was the L10s Pro Ultra Heat. While it did a good job of vacuuming, within two weeks the roller brush had been torn to shreds by the long hair it had collected on the job. The Aqua10 Ultra Track S is years beyond the models I’d previously tested. And as the name suggests, the key development comes in the robot vacuum’s mopping performance. But is it enough to be considered one of the best robot vacuums in Australia? Let’s find out. ## What makes the Aqua10 Ultra Track S stand out? Dreame has packed a lot of tech inside this robot vacuum, so it’s difficult to determine where to start talking about it. Given my previous experiences, the biggest development here for me is the upgrade to a detangling combination of vacuum brushes. Rather than a single roller brush, Dreame has a two roller system that’s designed to avoid tangles. But for most people, the mop is likely to be the bigger selling point. Dreame has updating its mop to a track roller system, which constantly applies 45ºC hot water to the roller via 24 nozzles, and scrapes off the dirty mess as it goes. It’s flat, oblong design allows it to apply more floor pressure for better cleaning, while also sitting a bit wider than previous mops. While it’s not really an issue I’ve ever encountered reviewing robot vacuums in my home, the Aqua10 Track S also has an innovative system for clearing obstacles. Two small legs can be popped out of the vacuum to allow it to clear obstacles as high as 6 cm. And with that also comes increased suction power, up to 30,000 Pa, and an elegantly designed multi-functional dock, which has a unique finish on the front. The dock will also wash the vacuum’s mop pad in 100ºC hot water before using 50 degree hot air to dry it. So collectively, a specification powerhouse. How does it perform, though? ### Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S specs Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S Specifications --- **Vacuum Dimensions** | 350 x 350 x 97.5mm (retracted LDS) **Robot Vacuum Weight** | 5.5kg **Base Station Dimensions** | 420 x 440 x 500mm **Base Station Weight** | 10.9kg **Maximum Suction** | 30,000Pa **Obstacle Crossing Height** | 6cm (double-layer step), 4.2cm (single-layer step) **Navigation** | VersaLift DToF **Obstacle Avoidance** | AI Camera x2 + Lateral 3D Structured Light + LED Lights **Main Brush Type** | HyperStream™ Detangling DuoBrush **Battery Capacity** | 6,400mAh **Dust Box Capacity** | 220ml **Clean/Used Water Box (Robot)** | 160ml / 150ml **Clean/Used Water Tank (Dock)** | 4L / 3.5L **Auto Mop Cleaning** | ✓ (100°C hot water) **Hot Air Drying** | ✓ (50°C) **Voice Control** | Built-In & Third-Party (Alexa, Google, Siri) **Auto-Empty** | ✓ (3.2L dust bag, up to 100 days) **Main Brush Lifting** | ✓ **Side Brush Lifting/Extending** | ✓ **Mop Extending** | ✓ **Dirt Detection & Re-mopping** | ✓ (multi-spectrum) **Auto Solution Refill** | ✓ **Auto Tank Water Refill** | ✓ ## Design and build quality While most robot vacuums all tend to look the same, Dreame has managed to make the Aqua10 Ultra Track S look a bit more refined than many competitors. The vacuum itself bears a matte black finish, which is matched by _most_ of the charging dock. The top half of the dock, however, has a marbleised gold and grey finish, which makes me think of elegant European kitchens. The water tanks are tucked away under the lid, and the vacuum bag and cleaning solution sit behind an easily removable panel on the front. The vacuum itself looks much like every other robot vacuum on the market. Dreame has designed the head to retract, giving the vacuum a sleeker look when docked or the vacuum is getting under furniture. There’s a single side brush on the Aqua10, paired with the twin main rollers underneath, which are designed to avoid tangles. The back of the unit houses the mop pad, which is a flat track style like the Narwal Freo. The vacuum’s dustbin is quite small at just 220 ml, which does create some problems. But you get the impression it needs to be to house both the clean and dirty water tanks on board. ## Cleaning performance The first week of testing the Dreame Aqua10, I was confident it was destined for the top of my best robot vacuum list. Having tested this just after the Narwal Freo, I’m convinced that the track style mop is the best way to tackle mopping on a robot vacuum. While robot vacuums won’t typically accelerate to maximum suction unless you tell them to, I found that the Dreame’s motor did a really solid job of pulling up dirt, dust, and debris from my floors. At least at first. After a few weeks of daily cleans, I started to notice that crumbs were left scattered on my floor. Another week later, I found a massive ball of dust on my floor, left behind from the vacuum itself. The issue – as far as I can see it – is that the shape and capacity of the Aqua10’s on-board dust bin doesn’t allow for easy emptying. There are narrow channels where the dust and fluff easily gets stuck, particularly if you have carpets through your home. Over the course of the 3 months or so I’ve been testing this vacuum, I’ve had to manually empty the dustbin in the vacuum multiple times. Even though it’s supposed to auto-empty into the base-station’s dust bag, either the base’s suction power is insufficient or the design of the vacuum’s dust container is too awkward to let that happen. When the vacuum’s dustbin is empty, suction is great and cleaning performance shines. But if it’s full, it’s disappointing. On the plus side, the mopping capability here is fantastic. The combination of hot water cleaning and the track mop style meant that my floors felt great after the Aqua10 had done its job. Not only is the mopping great, I can’t really fault the obstacle avoidance, either. Even with the house left fairly messy (I have teenagers), the Dreame never got tangled while navigating the house. This is particularly impressive given how even a couple of years ago, I had to really clean up around the home before sending a robot vacuum out. ## Ease of use Setting up and controlling the Aqua10 is straightforward with the Dreame Home app. The mapping capabilities here were fantastic. I’ve struggled recently with robot vacuums that don’t detect bedroom doorways or carpeted floors in my home, but Dreame’s software did it first time. I still needed to make a few tweaks to the map to get it just right, but that’s the challenge you face when you live in an open-plan home Once the map is just right, cleaning your home is straightforward. You can set it up on a schedule to clean at a regular time every day, or run ad hoc cleans to tidy up after you make a mess. The Aqua10 also has Matter support, which means you can control it using Apple HomeKit, Google Home or Alexa voice controls. That HomeKit support allows for some useful automations. Have a scene set up to start cleaning when you leave home, and finish cleaning when you arrive (if it’s still going). Of course, the one area that Dreame hasn’t solved (though neither has any other brand) is how to best deal with the barrel of disgusting that is the dirty water tank. My only advice is to empty it after every use, before it has the chance to fester. If only I followed my own advice. ## Power and battery There’s a good-sized 6,400 mAh battery in the Aqua10 Ultra Track S. Under most conditions, it should get through cleaning a 3-bedroom home on a single charge. I did find that running it on a deeper clean, mop after vacuum setting drained the battery before it had finished. It didn’t take too long to charge up enough to finish the job – everything was always done by the time the kids came home from school. If you can manage to set the Aqua10 up on a routine to clean when you aren’t at home, it’s all the better. ## Verdict I took a little longer writing this review than normal because I wasn’t sure about the vacuum’s cleaning ability. While it started strong, after a few weeks the robot’s dust bin started clogging up, needing manual intervention to let the vacuum continue cleaning properly. It’s an issue, definitely. You buy a robot vacuum so you don’t have to touch the dustbins, right? But compared to the L20 Ultra and the L10S and their rubber brush issues, I actually think there’s enough on offer from the Aqua10 that manually checking and emptying the dust bin isn’t too much trouble. Especially when you get a powerful, refined vacuum with some of the best mopping and mapping I’ve experienced in a robot vacuum before. I could go a couple of weeks after cleaning the dustbin before realising it was blocked again. It’s not a cheap vacuum, by any stretch. But for a premium product, it’s got the looks and a lot of the performance. **Buy the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S if you:** * Want a stylish looking base station to fit with your decor * Have a lot of hard floors that require the best mopping * Have 5 cm ledges, you need a robot vacuum to step over **Skip the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S if you:** * Absolutely refuse to empty the dustbin from a robot vacuum * Don’t want to invest in a premium-price vacuum * Aren’t too fussed about having mop rollers washed and dried with hot water/air ## Frequently Asked Questions #### How high can the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S climb over obstacles? The Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S can climb over obstacles up to 6 cm high on double-layer steps and 4.2 cm on single-layer steps. It uses an innovative climbing system with two small retractable legs that pop out to help the vacuum clear tall thresholds and door jambs that would stop most other robot vacuums. #### Does the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S have good mopping performance? Yes, the mopping performance is exceptional. The Aqua10 features a TrackSync track roller mop system that continuously applies 45 °C hot water through 24 nozzles while scraping away dirt. The flat, oblong track design applies more floor pressure for deeper cleaning compared to traditional circular mop pads. The dock also washes the mop pad in 100 °C hot water and dries it with 50 °C hot air, ensuring genuinely clean mopping each time. #### Does the Dreame Aqua10 get tangled in hair? No, the Aqua10 Ultra Track S is designed to avoid tangles. It features Dreame's HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush system with twin counter-rotating rollers instead of a single brush. This design helps prevents hair from wrapping around the brushes, addressing a common problem with earlier Dreame models. The reviewer noted that even after weeks of testing, the vacuum navigated without getting tangled, even in messy conditions. #### What is the main issue with the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S? The main issue is the compact 220ml dustbin that tends to clog easily. The dustbin has narrow channels where dust and debris get stuck, particularly if you have carpets. This means you may need to manually empty the dustbin every few weeks, even though it offers auto-empty functionality. When the dustbin clogs, cleaning performance suffers and crumbs may be left behind until it's cleared. #### Is the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S worth $2,999? The Aqua10 is worth the $2,999 price tag if you have challenging floor layouts with high thresholds, primarily hard floors requiring excellent mopping, and don't mind occasionally checking the dustbin. It offers premium features like 30,000Pa suction, 6 cm obstacle climbing, constant hot water mopping, and comprehensive self-cleaning. However, it may be overkill if you don't have complex floors or heavy mopping needs, and the dustbin clogging issue may frustrate those seeking truly hands-free operation. ### ### ###

Can climb 6cm obstacles. Mops with constant 45°C hot water. Packs 30,000Pa suction. The Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S is a powerhouse, but don't expect the dustbin to stay as hands-free.

Sony's new WF-1000XM6 earbuds aim for the noise-cancelling crown Sony's over ear WH-1000 XM6 are one of the best pairs of headphones I've ever used. So it's probably a safe bet that the company's lates in-ear model, the WF-1000 XM6, is going to deliver the goods. The new WF-1000XM6 earbuds arrive with a clear focus on silence, boasting a 25 per cent reduction in ambient noise compared to the previous XM5 model. Sony says this improvement is driven by the new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3e and an upgraded array of four microphones on each bud. These updates specifically target mid-to-high frequency sounds, which are the typical distractions you find in busy cafes or during a commute. We often see tech get more powerful at the cost of size, but Sony has managed to go the other way here. The WF-1000XM6 body is approximately 11 per cent slimmer than the predecessor. The redesigned shape follows the natural curves of the inner ear, which should help reduce that "plugged-in" fatigue during long listening sessions. Connectivity also gets a meaningful upgrade with an antenna that is 1.5 times larger than before. This should help maintain a stable signal in crowded areas where Bluetooth interference is common. For those who use their buds for work, Sony has paired a bone conduction sensor with AI noise reduction to help isolate your voice from background chatter during calls. A spokesperson for the company noted that the 1000X series is dedicated to "unlocking the full potential of every song" by working with world-renowned sound engineers to ensure music is heard exactly as the creator intended. This includes support for 32-bit audio processing and a new driver unit designed to deliver deeper bass and clearer highs. Smart features are also getting a boost through a deeper integration with Google Gemini. You can now use Gemini Live for fluid, hands-free conversations to manage your calendar or brainstorm ideas without touching your phone. Finally, for those who prefer the over-ear experience, Sony is adding a new Sand Pink colourway to the existing WH-1000XM6 range. ## Pricing and availability The Sony WF-1000XM6 will be available in Australia starting February 2026. You will be able to pick them up in Black or Platinum Silver, while the over-ear WH-1000XM6 will also be available in the new Sand Pink finish. * **WF-1000XM6 RRP:** $499.95 * **WH-1000XM6 (Sand Pink) RRP:** $699.95 * **Australian Release Date:** February 2026

Sony brings a 25 per cent boost to its industry-leading noise cancellation while making its flagship WF-1000 XM6 buds even smaller.

Dyson Swaps air multiplier for jet engine tech in new HushJet purifier After first announcing it back in September last year, Dyson has this week launched its HushJet purifier in Australia. I think I want one. The Dyson HushJet Purifier is a notable departure from the brand’s signature loop-style "Air Multiplier" fans. Instead, it uses a sculptural nozzle inspired by jet engine aerodynamics to move high-velocity air while keeping noise to a minimum. It's designed to be small enough for a bedside table or desk but powerful enough to clean the air in rooms up to 100 m². We usually expect to change air filters every year, but Dyson claims the HEPA filter in the HushJet can last up to five years. This long-life electrostatic filter captures 99.97% of tiny particles like pollen and dust, while a separate carbon filter handles household odours and gases like nitrogen dioxide. The machine operates at just 24dB in Sleep mode, which is essentially a soft whisper. Even at full tilt, it is designed to suppress the turbulent "buffeting" noise common in smaller fans. > James Dyson said, "We have developed a way to smooth high speed airflow to minimise turbulence and reduce aerodynamic noise, allowing the Dyson Hushjet to deliver very high-volume airflow while generating minimal noise." On the smart side, the unit includes sensors that track air quality in real-time, displaying data on the machine or via the MyDyson app. It can automatically ramp up its speed when it detects pollutants and is fully sealed to ensure captured dust doesn't leak back into your room. ## Pricing and availability The Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact is available now in Australia for $549 RRP.

Dyson's latest compact air purifier lands in Australia with a brand-new "HushJet" nozzle and a promise of five-year filter life.

Shark StainForce: A portable powerhouse for spills One of the hardest lessons of adulthood is that the nice things you buy will almost always end up stained or damaged. Shark's new StainForce cordless stain remover will help with the first category at least. The Shark StainForce is a cordless, handheld spot cleaner designed to tackle messes the moment they happen. Unlike traditional carpet cleaners that require heavy lifting and constant trips to the sink, this unit uses a "grab and go" design with no tanks to fill or outlets to find. It builds on the design of the Shark StainStriker, which I still argue is one of the best-named products of the decade. At just over 1kg, the StainForce is light enough to carry from the lounge room to the car. It uses a dual-formula spray that activates on contact, which Shark claims provides up to 30 times more stain-fighting power than their standard cleaning solutions alone. The cleaning process is straightforward: you suction up any initial liquid, spray the area to saturate the stain, and then use the built-in scrub tool to lift the mess. There's a dedicated crevice tool in the box, making it much easier to reach into the tight gaps of sofa cushions or car seats where crumbs and spills usually hide. While it's always nice to be able to clean up the mess itself, the worst part generally comes when you have to clean up the cleaning appliance. So I particularly like the inclusion of a "self-cleaning" mode here. After you’ve finished cleaning a mess, you can rinse the internal components with fresh water, ensuring the machine doesn't develop unpleasant smells between uses. ## Pricing and availability The Shark StainForce (HX100ANZ) is available now for an RRP of $249.

Shark’s new cordless spot cleaner aims to take the stain-anxiety out of home ownership.

Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai: A high-tech Australian debut for Dyson’s first mop-and-vacuum hybrid <p>After announcing it an <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/bttr-roundup-57/" rel="noreferrer">IFA last year</a>, Dyson has today launched its first vacuum and mop robot vacuum model, the Spot+Scrub AI in Australia.</p><p>I had the chance to <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/welcome-to-the-age-of-the-cyclonic-robot-vacuum-station/" rel="noreferrer">watch and follow the Spot + Scrub</a> at an event in Sydney last year, and I'm glad to see Dyson finally enter the fray with a competitive robovac.</p><p>Dyson has built the Spot + Scrub Ai to identify the surface it’s cleaning. Using a high-resolution camera and green laser-like illumination, the robot can spot nearly 200 types of household objects and stains.</p><p>Unlike traditional robots that might just smear a mess across the floor, this model can use AI to react in real-time. It is programmed to go over stubborn stains up to 15 times, checking its work with the onboard camera until the floor is clean.</p><p>Dyson has focused heavily on the hygiene of the mopping process. The system uses a 12-point hydration system to deliver fresh, heated water at 60ºC directly to a microfibre roller.</p><p>The roller cleans itself on every rotation, meaning the robot isn't just pushing dirty water around your living room. It also includes an extending mechanism that reaches 40mm into corners and skirting boards to ensure edges aren't missed.</p><p>On the vacuuming side, it remains a Dyson at heart. It uses 10 cyclones to separate dust and debris into a bagless bin, which can then be emptied hygienically at the dock.</p><blockquote>"When it detects a stain, the robot performs up to 15 focused cleaning passes over the area, using its HD camera to monitor until the stain is fully removed," said Jake Dyson, Chief Engineer at Dyson.</blockquote><p>The robot uses LiDAR scanning to map the home, which users can manage via the MyDyson app. This allows for specific zone cleaning or even spot cleaning where you can tell the robot exactly where a spill has occurred.</p><p>For those with pets or children, the software is designed to recognise and avoid common obstacles like socks, cables, and even pet waste. </p><p>The dock itself supports the machine for up to 100 days of debris storage before needing manual attention. Though from experience, you will not want to leave the dirty water tank that long. </p><h2 id="pricing-and-availability">Pricing and availability</h2><ul><li><strong>RRP:</strong> $1,999.</li><li><strong>Australian Release Date:</strong> 5 February 2026.</li><li><strong>Australian Retailers:</strong> Available at Dyson Demo stores and online at Dyson.com.au.</li></ul><p></p> <div class="bttr-where-to-buy"> <h3 class="bttr-wtb-title">🛒 Where to buy Dyson</h3> <p class="bttr-wtb-subtitle">Available from these trusted retailers:</p> <div class="bttr-retailers-grid"> <a href="https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/11/The_Good_Guys_logo_300x150.webp" alt="The Good Guys Logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.amazon.com.au/stores/Dyson/page/9B7ECE2D-048C-40BA-9315-9DC2432EF420" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/11/amazon-logo-300x150.webp" alt="Amazon logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.betta.com.au/dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/betta-logo.webp" alt="Betta Logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.kogan.com/au/dyson/" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/11/Kogan_log_300x150.webp" alt="Kogan logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.ebay.com.au/str/dysonaustralia?srsltid=AfmBOoptKmOXw0IkvFdfjId5UdG2__ZyN-borLHsw8srvh7k3RW1N65j" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/11/ebay-logo_300x150.webp" alt="eBay Logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.dyson.com.au/" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/Dyson-logo_300x150.webp" alt="Dyson logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.davidjones.com/brand/dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/David-Jones-Logo_300x150.webp" alt="David Jones logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.myer.com.au/c/home/featured-home-brands/dyson-brand" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/Myer-logo_300x150.webp" alt="Myer logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.bigw.com.au/brands/dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/bigw-logo_300x150.webp" alt="Big W logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/brand/dyson/" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/appliancesonline-logo_300x150.webp" alt="Appliances Online logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.binglee.com.au/brands/dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/bing-lee-logo_300x150.webp" alt="Bing Lee logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.retravision.com.au/dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/Retravision_Logo_300x150.webp" alt="Retravision logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.jbhifi.com.au/pages/dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/11/JB-Hi-Fi-brand_300x150.webp" alt="JB Hi-Fi logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.officeworks.com.au/brands/dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/12/officeworks-logo_300x150.webp" alt="Officeworks logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> <a href="https://www.harveynorman.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=dyson" class="bttr-retailer-card" target="_blank"> <img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2025/11/harvey-norman-logo_300x150.webp" alt="Harvey Norman logo" class="bttr-retailer-logo" /> </a> </div> <p class="bttr-wtb-disclaimer"> <small><em>BTTR is independent, but we may earn money when you purchase through links on our site. Roborock slashes prices by up to $2,000 in massive Valentine's Day sale <p>Roborock pitched me the information about this sale as a Valentine's Day sale. Sadly, I love my wife too much (and value my own life as well) to ever consider buying her a robot vacuum for Valentine's Day.</p><p>But if you want to save big on a robot vacuum, the deals here aren't half-bad.</p><h3 id="flagship-cleaning-with-the-saros-series">Flagship cleaning with the Saros Series</h3><p>The standout deal is on the <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/roborock-ces-2025-announcements/" rel="noreferrer">Saros Z70</a>, which has seen its price halved to $1,999. This is Roborock’s current flagship, featuring a massive 22,000 Pa suction power as well as its iconic mechanical arm. That arm will pick up all the junk your kids leave lying around their bedroom to give you a better clean, and the vacuum is slim enough to slide under most designer lounges.</p><p>The Saros 10 and 10R models are also heavily discounted. These models focus on "set and forget" maintenance, using a 10-in-1 dock that handles the dirty work of washing and drying the mops so you don't have to deal with damp, smelling fabric.</p><h3 id="precision-mopping-with-qrevo">Precision mopping with Qrevo</h3><p>For those with more hard floors than carpet, the <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/roborock-f25-ultra-qrevo-curv-2-flow/" rel="noreferrer">Qrevo range is the better target</a>. The Qrevo Edge and Edge C models feature high-temperature mop washing (75°C), which is far more effective at killing bacteria and shifting oily kitchen stains than cold water alternatives.</p><p>The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow and C Pro models have also been brought down to more accessible price points. These units prioritise obstacle avoidance, using sensors to "see" and navigate around forgotten shoes or pet messes, so you don't end up walking in on a dirty smear across your floors.</p><h3 id="wet-and-dry-handhelds">Wet-and-dry handhelds</h3><p>If you prefer to be more "hands-on," the F25 series provides a significant upgrade over a traditional mop and bucket. </p><p>These wet-dry vacuums, like the <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/roborocks-flexi-pro/" rel="noreferrer">F25 ACE</a>, use smart sensors to detect how dirty a floor is and adjust the water flow and suction automatically. It’s a much faster way to deal with spilled cereal or muddy footprints in the hallway.</p><h2 id="pricing-and-availability">Pricing and availability</h2><p>The Roborock Valentine’s Day sale is active now and runs until 4 March 2026. Not only is there nothing else like it on the market, the Shark blows impressively well.</p><p>At its core, this is a pretty simple “tower” fan with a really ingenious design. With the main fan in vertical mode, the TurboBlade will help blow air around a room.</p><p>But with an intentional twist, the main fan will rotate to blow horizontally. Features like oscillation continue to work, and some dedicated low-noise modes make it a great partner on hot nights, blowing gentle air over you while you sleep to help you stay cool.</p><p>But it’s not just a horizontal or vertical choice. You can angle the main blade at any angle, and both sides of the fan’s blade arms can pivot a full 180 degrees. This gives unparalleled control of your air’s direction and power, even if some of that control is manual.</p><p>It also means you can have air blowing in two entirely different directions at the same time.</p><p>For anyone looking for an in-home fan that can do just about anything, the TurboBlade has a lot to offer.</p><figure class="kg-card kg-image-card"><img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--1.webp" class="kg-image" alt="The Shark TurboBlade Ultra in tower mode agains a wall with filtered light behind" loading="lazy" width="1500" height="844" srcset="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w600/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--1.webp 600w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w1000/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--1.webp 1000w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--1.webp 1500w" /></figure><h3 id="shark-turboblade-ultra-specs">Shark TurboBlade Ultra specs</h3> <table> <tbody><tr> <th>Specification</th> <th>Details</th> </tr> <tr> <td>Model</td> <td>TF202S</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Colour Options</td> <td>Charcoal, White</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Speed Settings</td> <td>10 speed settings</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Modes</td> <td>Natural Breeze, Breeze Boost, Oscillation</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Oscillation</td> <td>180°</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Wattage</td> <td>90W</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Weight</td> <td>6.5kg</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Dimensions (Vertical Mode)</td> <td>130 H x 25 W x 29.6 D cm</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Dimensions (Horizontal Mode)</td> <td>96 H x 80 W x 29.6 D cm</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Cord Length</td> <td>1.8m</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Airflow Range</td> <td>Up to 20 metres</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Warranty</td> <td>2 Year</td> </tr> <tr> <td>What's Included</td> <td>TurboBlade Tower Fan, Remote</td> </tr> </tbody></table> <h2 id="design-and-build-quality">Design and build quality</h2><p>Despite the fan having a plastic finish, Shark has managed to create an elegant looking appliance that is stylish as well as functional.</p><p>There are two colours available – I ended up with the black model for this review, and it combines well with the gold trims to look premium in the home.</p><p>From the moment you take the fan out of the box, it’s a simple experience. There is a little bit of assembly, combining the fan arms to the main tower.</p><p>One of the coolest features of the TurboBlade is just how flexible it is as a fan. By default, I mostly leave it in tower mode, with the two arms aligned vertically in the room.</p><p>As I’ve already mentioned, you can rotate from tower to horizontal fan mode easily. But you can also adjust the height of the fan by about 16 cm to help get the perfect height.</p><p>You can also rotate each of the arms a full 180 degrees, 90 degrees to the right and left of the front of the fan. The left and right arms can also be rotated independently, so you can have one pointing down and one pointing up when the fan is aligned horizontally.</p><p>While none of these movements are automated – you need two manually shift the direction every time – it does give you an incredible level of versatility. For example, in tower mode, you can stick the TurboBlade between two people and have it blow nice fresh air on both simultaneously, without needing oscillation.</p><p>The only real concern is that the entire fan is controlled by the supplied remote. It’s easy to use, but it does mean you will be in trouble if you ever lose that remote.</p><figure class="kg-card kg-image-card"><img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--4.webp" class="kg-image" alt="The TurboBlade with the fan at an angle and the arms rotated in opposite directions" loading="lazy" width="1500" height="844" srcset="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w600/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--4.webp 600w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w1000/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--4.webp 1000w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--4.webp 1500w" /></figure><h2 id="fan-performance">Fan performance</h2><p>Fans are designed to circulate air, and hopefully cool you down in the process. The TurboBlade Ultra has a few extra tricks up its sleeve.</p><p>At the most basic level, you get 10 levels of control over the fan speed. The lowest speed is barely perceptible, but the highest setting can be felt at least 10 metres away.</p><p>The fan is pretty quiet on the lowest five speed settings, though it does develop a bit of a jet engine sound when you crank it between 6-10. I constantly had the fan running on about 3-4 in my living room while watching TV and while it was audible, it wasn’t distracting. At higher speeds, it would definitely be too loud to have on while streaming Netflix.</p><p>The TurboBlade offers three levels of oscillation, which helps circulate the air. The highest setting will spin a full 180 degrees, though because of the customisable direction of the vents, you could use it to blow air in a full 360 degrees.</p><p>It’s probably not worth pointing out, but oscillating when the TurboBlade’s fans are horizontal obviously requires a lot more space. I found I never <em>really</em> did this because it would likely end up bumping <em>something</em>, but it’s certainly possible.</p><p>Beyond the basic settings, Shark has included three additional modes for the TurboBlade. The first is Sleep mode, which mutes chimes, dims the lights and offers a gentle breeze for overnight use. It also turns itself off after eight hours.<br /><br />I found the fan was still a little bit too noisy for me to use while sleeping, though I know plenty of people would happily have that gentle hum of white noise in the background as the fan blows gently from the foot of the bed. To each their own.</p><p>The second specialty mode is Breeze Boost, which cranks the fan’s output to 11. Shark says it the air can be felt from 20 metres away in this mode, and I couldn’t really test that in my house. But it is louder and more powerful than leaving the fan on the highest <em>normal</em> speed.</p><p>The final specialty mode is NaturalBreeze, which tries to replicate the feeling of a gentle breeze by varying the airflow speed to recreate the sensation of natural wind. It’s a cool idea, and works well, but on a hot day, I found I just wanted the fan to circulate the air normally.</p><figure class="kg-card kg-image-card"><img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--7.webp" class="kg-image" alt="Holding the remote in front of the fan." loading="lazy" width="1500" height="844" srcset="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w600/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--7.webp 600w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w1000/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--7.webp 1000w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--7.webp 1500w" /></figure><h2 id="ease-of-use">Ease of use</h2><p>So long as you have the remote control, using the TurboBlade Ultra is a piece of cake.</p><p>Without the remote though, it’s a bit of a nightmare. There’s a single button on the front of the fan, which turns it on and off as well as giving rudimentary control over fan speeds by pressing and holding it down.</p><p>If you want oscillation, direction control, oscillation or any other features, you <em>need</em> the remote.</p><p>Fortunately, the remote magnetically attached to the back of the fan, so it’s easy to store. Just don’t lose it.</p><p>The TurboBlade is also super easy to clean, which is arguably one of its biggest selling points. The tower arms can simply be wiped down with soapy water.<br /><br />At the back of the fan’s base is a “dust defence” panel, which is designed to capture dust, and it pops off easily for cleaning. A simple vacuum of the grill and a wipe of the internal mesh screen with a microfibres cloth is all the maintenance you really need.</p><figure class="kg-card kg-image-card"><img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--5.webp" class="kg-image" alt="The air filter for the TurboBlade – it's easy to clean, but does require maintenance." loading="lazy" width="1500" height="844" srcset="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w600/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--5.webp 600w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w1000/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--5.webp 1000w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/02/Shark-TurboBlade-Ultra-review--5.webp 1500w" /></figure><h2 id="verdict">Verdict</h2><p>There is nothing else like the Shark TurboBlade Ultra on the market right now. This premium fan delivers exceptional performance and unrivalled versatility. While there are other tower fans on the market, none offer a rotating arm and directional control in the same way, which gives this model a distinct edge.</p><p>The catch is that the TurboBlade Ultra isn’t cheap. At $399.99 RRP, you can find solid – if not quite so versatile – alternatives at a fraction of the price. Even Shark’s own first-generation FlexBreeze fan is only $250, and that has the benefit of battery power and a convertible design for pedestal and tabletop use.</p><p>But I still feel like this is a more complete package as an indoor fan. If you can justify the price (or pick it up on sale), then there is a lot to like with the TurboBlade Ultra.</p><p>Just don’t lose the remote control.</p><p><strong>Buy the Shark TurboBlade Ultra if you:</strong></p><ul><li>You want a versatile fan that can pivot between vertical and horizontal modes with adjustable airflow direction</li><li>You're willing to pay premium prices for powerful cooling (up to 20 metres), quiet operation, and easy cleaning</li><li>You need multiple speed settings and modes for different situations like sleeping or maximum cooling</li></ul><p><strong>Skip the Shark TurboBlade Ultra if you:</strong></p><ul><li>You're on a budget — there are good fans available for much less</li><li>You have limited floor space, especially since it needs 80 cm width when horizontal</li><li>You would rather not rely on a remote control for most functions</li></ul><hr /><h2 id="frequently-asked-questions">Frequently Asked Questions</h2><div class="kg-card kg-toggle-card"> <div class="kg-toggle-heading"> <h4 class="kg-toggle-heading-text"><span style="white-space:pre-wrap">How loud is the Shark TurboBlade Ultra at different speed settings?</span></h4> <button class="kg-toggle-card-icon"> <svg id="Regular" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewbox="0 0 24 24"> <path class="cls-1" d="M23.25,7.311,12.53,18.03a.749.749,0,0,1-1.06,0L.75,7.311"></path> </svg> </button> </div> <div class="kg-toggle-content"><p dir="ltr"><span style="white-space:pre-wrap">The TurboBlade Ultra is ultra-quiet on speeds 1-5, remaining barely perceptible at the lowest setting and unobtrusive enough for TV watching at speeds 3-4. The Shark TurboBlade Ultra reinvents the tower fan with a unique pivot design that switches between vertical and horizontal modes, delivering powerful airflow up to 20 metres. But does its premium price justify the versatility?

Oppo brings the Reno15 series to Australia with massive batteries and creator tools <p>It's been a hot minute since I tested a Reno phone. My last review was the <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/oppo-reno13-5g-review/" rel="noreferrer">Reno13</a>, which came about six months after I reviewed the <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/oppo-reno12-5g-review/" rel="noreferrer">Reno12</a>. Both models had a stylish design, great battery life with fast charging and way too much pre-loaded bloatware.</p><p>The Reno15 Pro 5G is the flagship of this duo, and it features a massive 200MP ultra-clear main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera. That second lens has a 100-degree field of view, which basically means you can finally bin the selfie stick for group shots.</p><p>Under the hood, the Pro is running a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. It is also surprisingly compact, sporting a 6.32-inch display and an aerospace-grade aluminium frame. </p><p>Alongside the Pro is the Reno15 F 5G, which is the more affordable sibling. It swaps the MediaTek chip for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and offers a larger 6.57-inch 120Hz display for those who prefer more screen real estate.</p><h2 id="power-for-days">Power for days</h2><p>The most impressive aspect of both phones is the battery life. Oppo has managed to cram a 6,200mAh battery into the Reno15 Pro and an even larger 6,500mAh unit into the Reno15 F. Given how power-efficient these mid-range chips usually are, these phones should easily survive a heavy day of filming and editing.</p><p>When you do eventually run dry, both models support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. Better yet, Oppo is still including the 80W wall charger in the box, along with a protective case. </p><h2 id="built-for-the-feed">Built for the feed</h2><p>Oppo is clearly pitching these at the TikTok and Reels crowd. They’ve introduced a "Seamless Camera Switch" feature that lets you jump between the front and rear cameras while recording, which will help those one-take vlogs. </p><p>There is also a new Video Editing 2.0 suite built directly into the Photos app to help speed up the posting process.</p><p>Both phones also come with an <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/ip-ratings/" rel="noreferrer">IP69 rating for water and dust resistance</a>. This is quite high for this price bracket, meaning it should handle more than just a light splash of rain.</p><h2 id="specs-comparison">Specs comparison</h2> <table> <tr> <th>Feature</th> <th>OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G</th> <th>OPPO Reno15 F 5G</th> </tr> <tr> <td>Price (RRP)</td> <td>$1,399 </td> <td>$679 </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Display</td> <td>6.32-inch compact display </td> <td>6.57-inch 120Hz display </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Processor</td> <td>MediaTek Dimensity 8450 </td> <td>Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Battery</td> <td>6,200mAh </td> <td>6,500mAh </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Charging</td> <td>80W SUPERVOOC </td> <td>80W SUPERVOOC </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Main Camera</td> <td>200MP Ultra-Clear </td> <td>High-megapixel sensor </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Selfie Camera</td> <td>50MP Ultra-Wide (100° FOV) </td> <td>50MP Ultra-Wide (100° FOV) </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Build Quality</td> <td>Aerospace-grade aluminium frame </td> <td>IP69 water and dust resistance </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Availability</td> <td>JB Hi-Fi, OPPO Online </td> <td>JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Big W, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, OPPO Online </td> </tr> </table> <h2 id="australian-pricing-and-availability">Australian pricing and availability</h2><p>The Oppo Reno15 series will be available in Australia from 5 February 2026.</p><p>The Reno15 Pro 5G will retail for $1,399 and comes in Aurora Blue or Dusk Black. DJI launches RS 5 gimbal with smarter AI tracking and a massive battery boost <p>DJI’s <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/dji-osmo-mobile-8-gimbal-review/" rel="noreferrer">Osmo Mobile 8</a> was one of my <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/best-of-2025/" rel="noreferrer">10 favourite products last year</a>, offering an intuitive and powerful gimbal solution for smartphone recording.</p><p>But if you want a better camera than an <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/apple-iphone-17-pro-smartphone-review/" rel="noreferrer">iPhone 17 Pro</a>, you're going to need a bigger gimbal. DJI has just announced the RS 5, a lightweight commercial camera gimbal designed to give videographers more flexibility and smarter control over their footage.</p><p>The new RS 5 arrives with a focus on making complex shots easier for solo operators. It weighs 1.46 kg including the battery grip and plates, yet it can carry a payload of up to 3 kg. This makes it compatible with most mainstream mirrorless camera and lens combinations used by local creators today.</p><p>The most significant update is the RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module. This module allows you to frame and track subjects directly via the gimbal's touchscreen. </p><p>It is no longer limited to just tracking people; it can now lock onto vehicles, pets, or specific objects. It can maintain a lock on human subjects from up to 10 metres away, even in crowded environments, and can quickly reacquire a subject if they momentarily leave the frame.</p><p>Under the hood, DJI has implemented its 5th generation stabilisation algorithm. This has resulted in a 50% increase in peak motor torque, providing much better stability during fast movements, like running or quick angle switches. </p><p>For those focused on vertical content, the RS 5 handles the switch to portrait mode natively without requiring additional accessories.</p><p>To help improve the quality of manual operation, DJI added a Z-axis indicator on the screen. This provides feedback on your gait and pace, suggesting adjustments to help reduce image shake while walking.</p><p>Battery life and efficiency have also seen a major jump. The standard battery now charges 60% faster than the previous model, reaching a full charge in about an hour. While the standard grip provides 14 hours of power, a new BG70 high-capacity battery grip is available which extends the total runtime to 30 hours.</p><p>The ecosystem has also expanded, with the Bluetooth shutter now supporting Panasonic and Fujifilm cameras alongside Sony, Canon, and Nikon.</p><h3 id="australian-pricing-and-availability">Australian pricing and availability</h3><p>The DJI RS 5 is available in Australia from today through authorised retailers and the official DJI online store.</p><ul><li>DJI RS 5 (Standalone): $839 AUD. Belkin’s new Stage accessories bring professional audio and power to mobile creators <p>One thing I've learned the hard way since starting BTTR, is that the days of just being a writer are over. To make it work, you also have to "create content".</p><p>Belkin knows that more and more people are looking at becoming content creators and has launched its latest round of accessories to satisfy their needs. </p><p>We saw a glimpse of these <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/belkin-2025-ces/" rel="noreferrer">back at CES in 2025</a>, but now we have local pricing and availability for the Australian market.</p><h3 id="stage-powergrip">Stage PowerGrip</h3><p>The most interesting of the new products is the Stage PowerGrip. While it looks like a traditional camera grip to help stabilise your iPhone while filming, Belkin has packed it with a 9,300mAh power bank.</p><p>The grip attaches magnetically and <a href="https://www.bttr.reviews/qi-magsafe-wireless-charging/" rel="noreferrer">offers 7.5W wireless charging</a>, though there are also USB-C ports and a retractable cable if you need a faster top-up. </p><p>It also features a Bluetooth shutter button, allowing you to trigger recordings without fumbling for the screen. </p><p>When you aren't filming, it doubles as a phone stand for reviewing your footage and includes a standard 1/4-inch tripod thread on the bottom.</p><figure class="kg-card kg-image-card"><img src="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/01/Belkin-Creator-Kit.webp" class="kg-image" alt="A woman filming a piece to camera using a phone and the Belkin Creator Kit" loading="lazy" width="1500" height="843" srcset="https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w600/2026/01/Belkin-Creator-Kit.webp 600w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/size/w1000/2026/01/Belkin-Creator-Kit.webp 1000w, https://www.bttr.reviews/content/images/2026/01/Belkin-Creator-Kit.webp 1500w" /></figure><h3 id="stage-creator-kit">Stage Creator Kit</h3><p>For those looking for a more complete mobile studio setup, the Stage Creator Kit bundles several tools together. </p><p>It includes a lightweight aluminium tripod that extends from 0.44m to 1.7m, a magnetic phone mount, and a pair of wireless microphones.</p><p>The dual clip-on microphones record 24-bit/48kHz audio and offer noise reduction.
