Oh thatβs great news for all of us in MD! Congrats!
I was checking something on an MD gov website this week and was like βthis feels so familiar and good. Theyβve done a great job adapting USWDS to the stateβ
One weird trick to clear your social calendar.
Itβs properly spelled See A Mess for a reason
I was gonna make one of those ampersand shirts that say

Just to feel sad.

Much of the most engaging philosophy is by women too! Like Foote, Husthouse, Butler, Wallace, too many to list β if you want to engage with ethics, ontology, or epistemology and actually engage the current debates, youβre reading mostly women. So itβs not a genre thing.
Did it! You can thank @andymbowen.bsky.social for telling me about you all
If youβre moving to VA Iβm not sure thatβs realistic.
That is very cool, congratulations. I am fortunate to have met you when you were at UMD and am happy for you to reach more young people.
Oh goodness yes β it sells lies that strips men of even more of our humanity than patriarchy took as we were brought up. It harms literally everyone.
A Limenitis arthemis on a rock. Its wings are indigo with a tiny hint of red.
We also saw this cool red-spotted purple. Itβs none of of those colors (maybe a tiny bit of red at the edge of a wing?) but it is stunning. #buttyflysky
The muddy creek falls shot from its pool. It is a tall waterfall with white water surrounded by deep green foliage

And yes of course I have feelings about βthe accessibility checkβ being like a single gate, but thanks to Jared and team we didnβt treat it that way β accessibility was core to how we developed continuously
At the IRS, the accessibility check was known to kill projects right before deployment. Thanks to Jared and a small team of dedicated practitioners, Direct Fileβs was chill and collegial. We are lucky to get to learn from such a dedicated and skilled practitioner.

Zip the cat, an orange tabby domestic short hair, in a desk attached circular cat bed. Zip is barely awake and has his paws curved in an adorable way.
This is Zip. Heβs a little guy.
Fact check confirmed
My daughter (also six) is same! Itβs what she wanted for her birthday too. It is both wonderful for the variety it brings is beyond pizza and expensive!
I had to use it when I was at USDS on a project and it was simply bonkers. So complicated for so little actual utility.
Isnβt there like a Go (the game) association up there too? Itβs an amazing block

This looks pretty cool.

After a couple months of LLM-assisted coding, I have a prediction: LLMs will impact productivity in a way similar to the change that came from moving from email to slack
In both the summer and winter I wonder why this place was even settled.
Hahaha I did that right away
So this is maybe the most most fascinating part, since it is a thoroughly tested, declarative, machine readable declaration of the logic of the portion of the tax code that DF supports github.com/IRS-Public/d...
This makes my night. Some of the best (and most ridiculous) work I ever did is in that repo and now itβs not lost to time.
All over it
