Glad to hear the folks at Serengeti Park in Germany have found a solution for the problem that was stopping Gozimba from opening. After even the ride's manufacturer threw in the towel. Excited to ride it some day either tis or next year.

Als ze het aan niet super-techy mensen vragen, en er niet bij zeggen of/dat google telt, denk ik dat die Google niet mee rekeknen.
I'm visually impaired, so I used macos's zoom efature to zoom in on the line once I had some idea where it was. Take that to judge my result any way you like.

When walking around the city by myself, I usually listen to some kind of audio. This morning, I was walking in a local park/small forest, and turned off the podcast. The next hour, I didn't feel any urge to turn it back on, and just listened to the birds. I think I should go for more morning walks.
If it's such an eyesore, just get some art students to turn them into something nice! But appreciating art is probably also too woke for them. www.stromnetz.berlin/en/for-berli...
I feel like it's time for Apple to start decoupling Safari versions from OS versions, so that users can keep using older OS versions, but still get newer web features.
I feel like gen alpha has ruined me. I can't hear someone casually say 6-7 minutes without some voice in my brain going "six seeeveen"
Airlines: "make sure to arrive 3 hours before your flight!!" ๐ก
Me, still in pajamas, 90 minutes before my flight: "I guess I'll start slowly heading out" ๐ด
Must be serious railing if it's a one-way trip.
For me, the biggest issue is when the result of an interaction happens completely outside the currently visible region, so you get no feedback that your interaction act(ually did anything. This especially applies to "toast" UIs that disappear before I have the chance to move the magnifier to them.
The section about tunnel vision also applies to users who use a screen magnifier. We only see a part of the screen, and have to consciously move that region around to get the full content.

Wish I could've ridden this when I was there in '24
This song always brings me back to listening to Graceland in the car with my parents. Still love that bass solo.
Took a nice afternoon walk
@colepowered.bsky.social Hey, I was recently reminded of Concrete Jungle, but apparently Steam only has a 32-bit build for macos, which is no longer supported. Would you ever consider creating an updated build for newer macOS versions (I wouldn't expect any other updates, just for it to run :))

We switched from using Yarn to PNPM for our main repo at work, and it is SO MUCH NICER!. I was fully expecting to just wait 10+ minutes after running `pnpm install` in the root of our workspace, but it was blazing fast.
When people hear I'm visually impaired, they always ask about boring stuff like "how do you find your way around", and "how do you use a computer". Nobody realizes the real struggles, like keeping a clothing tag unfolded with 1 hand, so you can use the other to zoom in on it with a phone camera.
Until TypeScript, all Script was handwritten
Until VisualBasic, all programming was auditory.

Woah, the hotel where the conf is already fully booked for those days
Hmm yeah, looks like Tusenfryd is the only major park in Norway. It's still on my bucket list to visit some day, especially because of Speed Monster, their hydraulic launch coaster, since these are a dying breed; I won't bore you with more coaster nerdery :p.
Amusement parks. If you're lucky enough to live close to one and have the means to do so, getting a season pass can be really worth it. This really feels like one of the biggest perks to my current place.
