If buying, my go to is Whisky.Auction. Always thought their quality assurance & customer service has been excellent. Their commission is a little higher but I find that's often offset by the lower prices the bottles fetch & the better delivery / insurance rate

When visiting the distillery shortly after it opened, I was under the impression that this range was only going to be available at the visitor centre itself. So, maybe it was originally produced with a certain customer in mind? #TheCairnDistillery

The 12 y/o and 18 y/o are great value for money. The 30 y/o, although still very good, lacked a certain something for me. The 25 y/o is a belter of a dram #TheCairnDistillery

Possibly. It does feel as though the sherry cask influence is less on this one #TheCairnDistillery
There are a few 30+ year old blended malts out there. Not all at this excellent price point though 😊#TheCairnDistillery

Dram 4 - actually finding this lighter and fresher than the 25 y/o #TheCairnDistillery
Dram 4 - 30 y/o: on the nose, quite shy at first. Then toffee apples; hint of aniseed balls; wet stones (?) #TheCairnDistillery
Definitely those musty notes akin to some of the old blends I'm used to drinking #TheCairnDistillery
Dram 3, there's a slight hint of toasted pine nuts in the background #TheCairnDistillery
Dram 3 - 25 y/o: on the palate, Jammie Dodgers, rum chocolate truffles, tiramisu/ Lovely, velvety texture #TheCairnDistillery

Dram 3, also hints of rum and raisin chocolate #TheCairnDistillery
Dram 3 - 25y/o: on the nose, Scotch pancakes with maple syrup #TheCairnDistillery
The 18 y/o is quite drying on the finish with a hint of orange marmalade #TheCairnDistillery
Dram 2 - on the palate, something like banoffie pie with hints of Ferrero Rocher #TheCairnDistillery

Dram 1: there's a chilli note on the finish making it a wee bit burny (technical term) #TheCairnDistillery
Dram 1 has notes of apple and blackberry crumble with vanilla ice cream. Actually, I reckon this would pair well with that 😊
