If the last option is true, then I must admit that I have many complaints to the devs, as the plot often forces you to persist in the doomed world of the severed threads of prophecy, and the endless completion of silly bureaucratic quests is extremely tedious.
It seems that enhanced concentration leads to a curious sense of synchronicity: motifs from recently read books, games and fantasies overlap in such a way that it is difficult for me to distinguish whether I am a person, a narrative tool in the hands of a poor writer, or the hero of a weird RPG.
