Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ has been my go-to microphone for years. Costs less than £100, is industry standard and looks great on a desk. You can buy a foam windscreen to go over it for less than £10 too.

Other brands to look at are Shure, Elgato & AKG.

I'm sure many can relate, it's this point of the year when Stress shifts into sixth gear & things get heavy. "I hate my job" gets thrown around.

This year, I'm truly able to reflect positively. I've progressed within my #school, new opportunities, felt I've made a real difference.

Awesome! I love having it to help break things down & clarify.

Another - Recently was covering Sports Theory (definitely not my field!) & a pupil asked if I could explain the components of fitness for this exam spec. I asked #ChatGPT to give short, unit relevant definitions to help. Worked great!

As part of my role, I encourage the ethical & responsible use of #AI for colleagues & pupils. I've seen the downsides, but many more positives!

For example:

- Improving coding using suggestions
- Writing Starters
- Chunking/differentiating for SEN/EAL
- Time-saving with data breakdowns/analysis

🤣 We're in strange times, for certain. 👀 Bringing myself back to thoughts about reading your books takes be back to that place of calm and fantasy I hold so dearly.

It's communities like this who keep things running as they should. People-centric and positive.

I'll use this as an excuse to mention the time I met you at London Film & Comic Con as a teenager. You were by far the highlight of my year.

Skip forward several years, I now work in a school. My go-to book recommendation for the kids? Always you. (Especially Zom-B!)

Me: "You've opened TikTok Live..."

Mum: "Oh I hate that! It speaks to me. It'll say 'Hello Simiisme!' and I just go 'AHHH' and run away. I don't even talk to my friends like that!"
