Part of the problem with this country is people don’t travel or meet other people. Where I live in Appalachia everybody’s afraid of the outside world. That’s why they hate everything.

Why are we destroying one of the most beautiful cities in the world when the issue was allegedly their leadership? A leadership that is there because of our interference in the first place.
It will never happen, but I would like to see a national service requirement where high school kids spend one year in another state after graduation helping with national projects. Kind of like the CCC. Even if they don’t get a college education, they get exposure and a broader view of the world.
