You've totally gotta wear @nordacious.bsky.social's shirt in the next episode, as it's genuinely brilliant subversion of fascism, using an Aussie icon's song no less.
Keep up your brilliant work, @ettemedia.bsky.social!

Iran says US, Israel have hit nearly 10,000 civilian sites since war began Iran accuses the US and Israel of targeting civilians, saying more than 1,300 have been killed across the country.

"The Lebanese Ministry of Health has also confirmed the death of a Lebanese Red Cross paramedic, who died of injuries sustained when his ambulance was struck by an Israeli airstrike yesterday. ... He is the fourth Red Cross paramedic to be wounded in the past week."

The only fine print Morrison ever checked was when he finagled an excessive termination payout from Tourism Australia.

Oh there were consequences, real people died, real people had their lives destroyed. There has been no justice though, and no accountability. The NACC has been corrupted from the start, and has failed victims of this government criminal extortion racket, "robodebt", yet again.

Two robodebt officials engaged in serious corrupt conduct, Nacc finds, but Scott Morrison cleared Anti-corruption watchdog makes adverse findings against two former public servants but clears four other individuals

Robodebt was the worst failure of public administration in Australian history. It raised est. $1.73 bn of illegitimate debts from over 430,000 vulnerable Australians and plunged thousands of families into distress and grief. And still no real consequences.

What the NACC has essentially done, after years β€œinvestigating”, is restate two findings made against lower level robodebt execs, and *toss out* the much more serious allegations against the likes of Katherine Campbell and Scott Morrison etc.
That’s it for the NACC. This will be the final straw.

Morrison one of the six referred to anti-corruption commission
Sarah Basford Canales
Sarah Basford Canales
Former prime minister, Scott Morrison, was one of the six people robodebt royal commissioner, Catherine Holmes, referred to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

The final report, released this morning, found two officials – Mark Withnell and Serena Wilson – had engaged in serious corrupt conduct.

The report found the other four, however, did not. The other four names referred to the Nacc included Morrison, Kathryn Campbell, Annette Musolino and Catherine Halbert.

Morrison’s failure to realise the bureaucratic advice was misleading, the report found, was due to both the social services and human services departments failing to advise him and other ministers that new laws were needed.

Campbell was one of two named by the Australia Public Service Commission in 2024 after it found 12 public servants, including Campbell and former department head RenΓ©e Leon, breached the code of conduct 97 times during their involvement in the robodebt program.

Weapons that wait. Australia couldn't assist with mine clearance in the Strait because our Mine Counter Measure (MCM) capability is moribund.

Australia to send aircraft and air-to-air missiles to Gulf to β€˜protect and defend’ civilians, PM says Anthony Albanese announces surveillance aircraft, air-to-air missiles and supporting personnel will be deployed to the UAE after request from their president

Gulf countries welcomed US military bases because they thought it would make them safer. In fact it's put them directly in harm's way due to the US's actions and the US has not adequately defended them.

We should think about this precedent in the AUKUS context. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...
