This was an early jazz gig by Little Dummer Boy. Ox was on bass and lamb was on keys and they kept comping during the drum solos.

I like to set clear expectations with my cats. "You're going to be my pillow,...forever...If not later today, tomorrow."
At least some are on Disney+
I agree and yet my experience is that the partially patched companies tend to be hit more than those who donβt patch at all. The partially patched often believe theyβre better off and get sloppy.
Oh, ok, same to you, my friend
I love it when I can travel without me there.

Be thankful if your partner, or anyone, really, offers to bring home groceries. If while they clarify, "what kind of cheese?" and you say "havarti or swiss" and they bring home both, you've done something right. Don't **** it up!
Are you kidding? I said, "good morning" to you at least an hour ago.
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGHHHCOUGH?
The FBI just wrote to me and my client about last yearβs ransomware attack that I cleaned up. Of course, I responded quickly, while feeding the cats, but had to stop chatting with a client with a new emergency.
If the cats and FBI would just leave me alone, I could do my work!

EEEH?
In college music history courses, better professors delight in speaking of the French horn which is German and the English horn which is Polish (or Czechβ¦the boundaries keep changing).
AAAHHHHH?
BUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRPPP
This hit especially hard, today.
Almost forgot. Itβs been awhile. Adding my old tag

I just sent a text ending with "lol". No caps, no punctuation, and no forethought. It just came out of my fingers and I hit send.
Note to self: rethink cancelling the therapy appointments and anxiety meds; recalculate expected time to retirement....
Why? Because your computer and web browser (Chrome, Firefox) and other apps all need a moment for software updates.
Sometimes updates come at us daily.
Weekly will get you better off than most people. Like your neighbor who locked her door the night you got robbed and she didnβt?
Iβve had to explain the difference between computer sleep, shutdown, and restart a lot recently. I donβt blame people. Tech companies are making basic stuff painful.
If you donβt click on the words SHUT DOWN itβs likely your computer is going to sleep.
Restart your computers weekly! Be safe.
@sunnamiina.bsky.social lilcrow12.bsky.social⬠If this is boring for your nerd friends then they're reasonably advanced in networking. I am, too, but prefer privacy...so this isn't boring. The problem is that most home/consumer WiFi systems are made to block internet. Message me if you want more...
Iβm launching my Human Tech Digital Organization course and we will get you there. DM me if interested or wait here for more.
Backups: could you restore all of your email, files, contacts, calendar, programs, bookmarks, and everything else after losing your computer and phone while away from home? Why not?!?
Email: Iβll lend you my 20 books on email organization, but Iβll explain why most of them are wrong and how to make sure you donβt lose access to this most vital of resourcesβ¦.
Calendars: get everyone in your family, friends, and work lives in sync, even if you prefer a paper plannerβ¦.
Contacts: get rid of duplicates, get the same search results on all of your devicesβ¦.
Youβre not incompetent. Your devices and the apps are! Theyβre made with assumptions baked inβ¦no, theyβre burnt in.
Digital Organization: Does Word save all of your files in a secret, underground bunker? Does your computerβs desktop have 300 icons but not THAT one? Can you schedule your kidβs next dentist appointment by yourself? Are you SURE your photos are safe?
Letβs make all of those hell yeah!
MEAFA = Make Everything a F***ing Acronym. I haven't seen that anywhere except from Wankernomics. LOL
I've spent the last week explaining DMARC, DKIM, and SPF to small business owners without using those terms. They're vital for SMBs and, working in IT for an MSP. Also, it's DNS.
Thank you! π
In my time in the Senate I've never seen a Senator treated this way. @padilla.senate.gov is carrying out his constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight and defend the people he represents. Absolutely shocking and disgusting way to handle a sitting member of Congress.
