While no direct historical source has been found for the exact phrase being used as a formal slogan in Nazi Germany, the sentiment reflects actual Nazi policies of reprisal killings and collective punishment in occupied nations during World War II
The phrase is widely understood to mean that the life of "one of ours" (members of an in-group, e.g., white people or law enforcement) is worth more than the lives of "all of yours" (members of an out-group).
The phrase "one of ours, all of yours" is a political slogan associated with Nazi and white supremacist ideology, which has been linked to a specific historical Nazi policy of collective punishment in occupied territories, including the 1942 massacre in the Czech village of Lidice.

Why does this make me think of βThe Ringβ?
If marketing myself was my motivation, Iβd be posting ads for my graphic designs and photos that I sell online, but thatβs not what I did here. Call it, testing the watersβ¦and the water is just too tepid. And too political. I get enough of that elsewhere. 4/4
Social media has changed a lot since I started working with it. Often, not for the better. Algorithms favor conflict and stupidity over truth and beauty. Bluesky isnβt mature yet. Iβd rather post to my 500 followers (down from >3000) on FB than post here for the few people who appreciate it. 3/4
Then I found I enjoyed programming. Everything from FORTRAN in the 80s to Python and Java in the 00s. I got out just in time (before AI took my job) and did social media marketing for a few years before doing photography for the last 10 years, mostly for clients, but often for myself. 2/4
Iβve been doing photography on and off for the last fifty years. In my 20s, my motivation was being able to photograph scantily clad lingerie models for the local department store. But dealing with people wasnβt my thing. So over the years I did more inanimate objects. 1/4
That looks awesome! π
Thank you for the kind words. They mean a lot. Iβm out on the web www.travelwitheric.com and also on IG and FB. I donβt post often on other social media and itβs often just personal stuff, but Iβm out there if you need anything.
Apparently, people really like photos of birds. I do much more than bird photos, but when I post them, likes are minimal with no reposts. People just donβt seem interested in 90% of what I shoot. Thatβs okay, Iβll eventually find an audience.
It's time-consuming and I'm no longer getting much out of it. I'd rather devote my time to something a bit more constructive. Thanks for your support.
This will be my last post. I gave Bluesky a try and it's just not as engaging as I hoped, even with thousands of followers. That's partly my fault. I don't repost other's photosβI have plenty of my own to show. But obviously, I've chosen the wrong place to show them. Ciao! Bagan. π²π²

Wait, what? Eswantini? That sounds like an African part of Italy.

The elephant and her handler were very cooperative in trying to get this shot. He stood behind me enticing her with food. Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary. πΏπΌ

Thank you for recognition of this photo. For me, itβs a defining moment and an image I am very proud of, though I didnβt go to Nepal with this in mind. Few people understand the patience and dedication it takes to get an image like this, so Iβm grateful when someone like you can appreciate that.
What a cutie! π₯°
Thank you. π I grieved for months because they are your family. πΆ
My wife came up with it. It's Hawaiian for a she-wolf. Because she was so fierce. π She was a stubborn little pup that was just beginning to learn to obey. She found a way out of the fenced yard that day.
Her name was Lupaki.
I was just a little over a year ago, so itβs still pretty fresh in my mind. π’πΆπ Iβm not religious, but I like to believe that heaven is a place where, when you get there, all the dogs you ever loved come running to greet you.
πΆοΈπ₯π¨ This shows off your assets π quite spectacularly. π₯
Great shot and a nice reminder of all the wonderful Nat King Cole songs I heard my mother play while growing up. I still have those albums. πΆπποΈπ«Ά
Which is why it took three days to get just a handful of shots. I missed the mom leaving. I thank my sherpa for his knowledge of the location, even though I was beginning to lose faith in him, he was right.

I think the army stopped teaching marching in formation at the end of the 18th century. I would rather think theyβre being taught how to kill an enemy and combat tactics instead of how to perform in a parade.
