Someone went completely wild when compiling options for the gender field on this form.
I forgot how damn good Porter Robinson's Worlds live sets were.
So envious of anyone who got to experience it firsthand at festivals/concert venues.
Trans person: I'm trans
Society: okay
Porter Robinson - Unison (Worlds Live Edit):
Every place you've ever imagined, it's real
There is a fictional city in your mind and you know every corner of it
Your mind is a world, each of us is a place

I can't relate to "former gifted children" at all, because from age four to age six or so, the teachers actually thought I was hella incompetent and unintelligent and that I didn't want to pay attention to anything.
Expectations were LOW 😌✌️
Maybe, yeah

Something about ペンラ as an abbreviation of ペンライト doesn't sit right with me.
Oke, maar hoe wordt iemand met een verleden als dit tot lokale *lijsttrekker* gekozen? Wordt dit als normaal gedrag gezien, of waren de andere kandidaten voor het lijsttrekkerschap nóg controversiëlere figuren?
Everyone who sheltered at this school survived the tsunami. But seeing the picture books made me realise just how difficult it must have been for children to process what had happened. I remember how one book was about a pet that got separated from its human family (or maybe it died?).
The second tanka I ever wrote, almost three years ago, was about my visit to the Arahama Elementary School Ruins.
On the second floor (not pictured here), there was a bookcase filled with picture books about the tsunami, clearly written for children, and I burst into tears upon seeing it.
"About 40% of municipalities in [Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima, which were] hit hard by the March 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami[,] face difficulties in conducting disaster education for children born after the incident, a Jiji Press survey has found."

I am a huge opponent of nuclear weapons, but I feel forced to agree with this assesment, due to recent world events.
"The great tragedy of the 21st century is that Pyongyang’s success has shown that, while the cost of trying to acquire a nuclear weapon is high, the cost of failure, as seen in Baghdad, Tripoli, and Kyiv, is existential."

The cool thing about identifying only as one of the two it is that it opens you up to the possibility of others thinking you're weird about trans people in one way or another.
Might start identifying as both bisexual and pansexual at the same time, to both sow and avoid confusion.
Oh maybe yeah!
Talking about how I feel so old and frail now that I'm 28 so my friends who are in their 30s and 40s feel less alone about their predicament ❤️
Piracy discourse has me reminded of the time the Dutch film industry tried suing the government for 1.2 billion euro in "lost revenue" from piracy, and half the country's first response was "I don't think I've ever illegally downloaded a *Dutch* movie..."
Weird question but does anyone know of a spot in Tokyo that has a bunch of Takaichi posters next to each other?
They have a lot!
"Japan urged Iran on Monday to exercise restraint in phone talks between their foreign ministers amid the Middle Eastern country's escalating military clash with the United States and Israel."
Yeah. The Gender & Sexuality Center.
"Nago Mayor Taketoyo Toguchi lodged a protest with the central government on Monday after a U.S. military helicopter made an emergency landing on a baseball field while a youth team was practicing, demanding that U.S. forces stop flying over residential areas or near schools."
