Gerry McNamara took over a 4 win Siena team that was bottom 10 program in the country.

Two years later they are MAAC champions!

Siena has now won as many challenges in the second half as Merrimack has points

Siena made some great adjustments attacking the zone out of the half. All the momentum in their favor again.

The only highlight (lowlight?) was Antoine Davis going 7-26 from the field in the Horizon League tourney in his last game. He ended 3 points shy of Pistol Pete's record and Detroit Mercy lost by 5. They need this!

In 2003 the idea of cheering for Gerry McNamara for any reason was inconceivable to this Kansas fan.

Now here we are... rushed home, kids in bed, PT is done and I'm ready to get irrationally invested in Siena winning the MAAC tonight! Let's go Saints!

The last point is so important. Unrivaled proved there's demand for playing games on the road. Not only did they generate meaningful revenue from those games but also activated fans to tune in for the rest of the season.

Lots of growth potential. I'd expect more of those events next year.

No idea who BC targets to replace Earl Grant but a change had to be made.

The results weren't there. Donald Hand had a massive regression. Guys who transferred out like Dion Brown and Devin McGlockton were big contributors on their new teams. That all falls on the coach, so happy BC is moving on.

At the beginning of the year that Tennessee game in February looked like it was going to be a good test later in the season. Didn't quite work out.

But yeah the Big East has been a shockingly bad basketball conference outside of UConn.

Ranking of non-conference college basketball SOS by conference showing the SWAC and Southland having the toughest schedule and the A-10 and Ivy with the easiest.

We know Power 4 teams said no to Miami OH but they loved themselves some SWACtion!

All 12 SWAC teams had AT LEAST 2 games against P4 teams.

The SWAC was 0-46 in those games.

From the P4 perspective why would they risk scheduling a Miami OH or St Louis when they can pay a SWAC team for a W?

Peacock is the worst at promoting their content. Last week their sports lead was a random MCBB game between like Creighton and DePaul while the women had a pair of top 10 teams playing in a rivalry game that was an instant classic buried in the app.

There's so much demand and energy around women's sports. If the league can't tap in and maximize revenue then that sounds like a league / ownership problem. Because the players have clearly been able to capitalize on that momentum with Unrivaled.

It feels like the metrics have a real fetish for mid/lower tier Power 4 teams and that could be the one thing that saves a team like NC State.

There are garbage teams like ND who are 4-12 in the ACC and 13-16 overall that count as Quad 2 wins.
