Ink and glitter marker drawing of a black hole spewing out a rainbow, pouring into an earth shape surrounded by star dust
Kind of obsessed with my 11-year-old's drawing of a black hole barfing out a rainbow and creating the earth.

This was palpably chilling. Searching Google for the complete text of William Penn's treatise on religious tolerance, I got nothing but the American Heritage Education Foundation. Two pages of nearly identical returns, then nothing. Looked like this. Tried an incognito window, same. Bing is OK.
I remember when they were saying they were powerless to return a man they illegally sent to an El Salvador gulag because it would violate that country's national sovereignty.
Typically when an administration sends its top foreign relations folks to do the Sunday morning shows amidst a major international incident, it makes sure they are following the same script and talking points; eg on βwhat is the legal justification?β Not so much today.

I feel, perhaps predictably, strongly about this. If you also do, this post shows a way to steer your borrowing with Libby to books with a real person doing the audiobook reading.

Perfect Days, shot in Tokyo by 78 year old Wim Wenders, really has a valedictory feel. It is deeply moving. And the last shots, close on Koji Yakushoβs face, with such a range of emotions shown, are astonishing. He won Best Actor at Cannes for this performance. Richly deserved.

I've said this before: a Michelle Yeoh + Ming-Na Wen sapphic John Wick/Equalizer type movie where they're retired spies or assassins or whatever, living a quiet life when something happens that causes them to have to go kill a BUNCH of dudes.
My public service announcement for today is that Americaβs Test Kitchen, which is infinitely better then NYTimes Cooking, has introduced a new gift link option that has no limit on how many you can share and each link lasts 30 days.
Going to lose my mind if I see another local police department who thinks it's their job to "maintain peace" by protecting DHS goons from residents. If you want peace and safety in your city, have law enforcement block off streets and prevent DHS from causing and accelerating chaos.
