a young fox I spotted on a pathway ahead of me just as it spotted me. It peered through the drooping blades of long grass just long enough for me to take this picture before it ran off. You can see inquisitiveness tinged with fear in its eyes.

In this photo you can see the stoats feet which I absolutely love. It looks like it is wearing a pair of those socks you could buy with toes in. It has white fluffy toes splayed out and planted in the soil on the path
The stoat this time is stood upright on its back legs, its front paws dangling down in front of it and its neck stretched all the way up making it look giraffe-like as it peers at me and assesses the situation

This young fox was very fearful, took one look + ran off. This stoat on the other hand showed no fear + hopped down the path right to me
