People with Long COVID do, though. It's hard to get treatment, much less insurance to pay for it. And while vaccination lowers risk of Long COVID, masks still help protect people who have it from re-exposure (as well as further lowering risk that folks will get it), so ending mask recs hurts.

Oh, I should update! She is much better now. She got worse and was admitted to the doggie hospital and ICU. They did an MRI and found she had a thiamine deficiency. The FDA is now investigating her food, but they started her on supplements immediately and she started improving rapidly.
