They also mentioned that earlier, when everyone disappeared, they saw a shining light appearing out of nowhere. (Asriel's face lightens up as he realizes) Asriel: A light… that must have been my doing when I took over the souls… Frisk: Precisely. However, there was one soul you didn’t get. Napstablook’s soul. (Asriel looks surprised). Asriel: I didn’t get their…? B-but it should be impossible for anyone to-! Frisk: They said they went inside their house and waited till the light was gone. Asriel: Th… they just went home… Frisk: yup Asriel: And that was it. Frisk: uh-huh Asriel: How does that work? Frisk: Dunno
Frisk: But now you get it, right? The monsters knew my name after you released their souls. So if Napstablook didn’t know it, while being the only one whose soul wasn’t taken, there has to be a relation between those events. And that was our conversation after the battle. (Asriel looks away from Frisk's eyes) Frisk: It's not just you who could see what they were feeling, they were also able to feel you. And I know that has to be the truth, because the only one I ever told my name was you, Asriel. When I told you, all the monsters gained that memory as well, as if they always knew it. They felt it through their bounding with you. Do you understand? (Frisk keeps talking overly excited, like they've just solved the world's craziest puzzle, unnoticing that Asriel face keeps getting gloomier) (Frisk points at Asriel, who looks back at them with a very sad look) Frisk: Right now… you're a link between all the souls on the Underground.
Frisk: You can make them know you’re here. You can make them know how you feel through the fragments! (Asriel get's very uncomfortable. He starts shaking and gripping his clothes tightly to release tension. He tries to speak, but Frisk rushes to stop any answer he might give) Asriel: Frisk:, I can’t- Frisk: You can! You can try to ask them for help! They're still your people, your family! Asriel: Stop- Frisk: If you make them know what happened, they’ll- Asriel: STOP IT!!! (Asriel's scream leaves Frisk in shock, erasing all the excitement they had seconds ago. Asriel is hyperventilating as tears start to come down of his eyes) Asriel: Just… just stop it… (There's silence)

Then, let's go back to when you obtained it It started when you took the souls of everyone at the castle, right? Asriel: Yes...
(We see a light beam passing through the windows in New Home's castle) Asriel: To take over the timeline, I had to obtain as many as I could to regain DETERMINATION… Once I got the souls of the people there, I was able to expand my power all over the Underground. Frisk: And that’s when it emerged… If I recall correctly, it was that giant round thingy you had on your chest during your “final form” Asriel: After I used everyone’s power to break the barrier, I freed the souls to recover their bodies. But it wasn’t as simple as that… When I absorbed their souls, they all got mixed up within a container, that “round thingy” you mentioned... I had to ensure every fragment returned to their owner safely. Frisk: And that’s why you still have those fragments… right now, they're still slowly returning to their bodies, aren’t they…? (Asriel looks down) Asriel: Yes… And when all the fragments are gone…
Frisk: You’ll go back to Flowey… (There's a moment of silence) Asriel: Then…? What’s your plan? Frisk: Easy. If that soul belongs to the monsters, you just need to ask them to keep it. (Asriel suddenly breaks composure) Asriel: A-ask?! Frisk: Yup Asriel: Are you suggesting we search for every monster, ask them if I can keep a part of their soul AND expect them to say “yes”? There’s not even enough time to-! Frisk: That won’t be necessary. We can talk to them right now… (Frisk point at Asriel, with a smile) Frisk: Remember what you told me before breaking the barrier? You could feel what everyone was feeling. (Asriel gets tense for a second, then he replies to Frisk) Asriel: T-true, but… I was the only one who could sense their presence. None of them were aware I was there, I can’t use it to straight up talk to them. Frisk: Except that you can. I know you can. (Asriel frowns. He starts getting more nervous) Asriel: …Why would you know that? Frisk: If I’m honest, it’s just a conclusion I made when I noticed something strange after our fight.
(Frisk looks down with a feeling of nostalgia) Frisk: This might surprise you, but… did you know you’re the first one here who ever asked for my name? Asriel: Your… name…? (Frisk reacts with a smile) Frisk: Yeah… No one actually asked me before. Everyone always addressed me as “human”, and well, I just got along with it... But when you left the castle, Toriel woke me up calling me “Frisk”. And it wasn’t just her. Suddenly, everyone knew it. (We see a flashback of Toriel, Sans, papyrus, Undyne, Alphys and Asgore waking up Frisk and calling their name. Frisk reacts confused, noticing this). At first, I thought that I simply forgot I told them at some point, but after resetting, I was sure. No one ever got a chance to know my name I became curious, so I investigated it as I went back in the timeline. And so, I finally found the answer to that mystery… and the way to save you. (Asriel gets more intrigued hearing this) Asriel: But… what relation could there be between your name and- Frisk: Napstablook.

We see the empty classroom of the first Dark World, slowly merging into the throne room of Chaos King. Carol: “You will wake up in that world, in the classroom next to the closet. It has already been prepared for you. You will get there before they arrive. Your presence will trigger 'The King', and incite him to claim his freedom. However, he’s not your priority. The prophecy already knows what he’ll do.”
Carol: “Find anyone. Forgotten ones, whom the legend pays no mind to. Make them yearn for freedom. Give them the crystals, and let them see the truth.” We see the shadow crystals in front of different objects. A crystal in front of a joker card, revealing Jevil behind a jail. A crystal in front of a paper bin filled with printed e-mails, revealing Spamton living in a garbage can. A crystal in front of a purple-colored retro game console, revealing the Mantle Holder / Eram. Carol grabs the letter and puts it inside what seems like a wooden compartment. She’s then seen leaving her house’s front yard at night, wearing a coat and holding a guitar case. Carol: “This is our first test. To see what they will do when they show up. See if it really plays exactly foretold on the scripts. The vessel is our ally. They will inform us of what goes down. I know you will both proceed successfully.”
Carol: “I’m not a good person. I know. My actions have broken families. They even broke you.” Carol walks down the street, followed by a chain of different memories. Asriel facing back, leaving for college. Toriel crying, holding a glass of wine. Rudy lying in bed, in the hospital. Asgore stressed out, in front of a corkboard with different photos attached with drawing pins. A younger Kris, wearing their horned headband and holding a birdcage with their soul inside. A younger Noelle, wearing her angel costume, kneeling in prayer while a tear falls down her cheek. Carol: “But I can’t stop now. Because this is something bigger than us. Bigger than everyone.” We see the outside of Hometown’s school, illuminated by a bright light beam coming from inside the building. Carol has taken out Dess’ guitar, staring at the classroom’s Dark World door. Carol opens a secret compartment behind the guitar, and stares at it in silence. Carol: “As much as I hate to keep involving you into this, I have faith you’ll be the one who’ll make a difference.”
