im so sorry. this really sucks so much. the asshole behind this is really praying on ppls kindness, going as far as to talk to ppl differently depending on how long it's been since you last spoke. dan was so pleased to have an old friend catching up with them. it's so infuriating
my hottest take is that we need to stop enabling chronic self deprecation outside of a joking context. responding to “my art sucks” with “no ur arts great“ does nothing but normalize bad coping mechanisms. we should be praising self confidence and emotional maturity instead
