#TeamUp week takes place between 26 January to 1 February 2026
One in four boys and young men aged 11-24 say they feel lonely at least some of the time.
Volunteering in football isnβt just about giving something back. Itβs about what you gain along the way.
π£ Sneak peek: our fresh volunteer hub is taking shape!
Special thanks to LovableAI, creating an easier way to share insight and advertise roles.
Only in early stages, but feedback welcomed, there will be articles so anyone wanting to contribute I am all ears!
#NonLeague

14 year old son James will be doing radio commentary of Cheadle Vs Burscough this afternoon from 3pm. Can listen here:

Sorry just seen this now!!
He was Commercial Manager at Chadderton FC, and prior to that Head of Commercial at Oldham Athletic, where he made a lasting impact behind the scenes.
Thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone connected with Chadderton FC at this incredibly difficult time. π
Such sad news. Dale Harris sadly passed away yesterday.
Dale dedicated a huge part of his life to football, serving in a number of roles across the game.
No one enjoys calling a game off. Everyone wants football on.
A bit of patience and understanding goes a long way β€οΈ
There are, and sadly there are going to be, a lot of postponements this weekend.
Please be kind to your clubβs admin. Theyβre dealing with weather checks, referee calls, league comms, rearrangements and a flood of messages, often voluntarily and often late at night.
With weather warnings sweeping through the country, I hope youβre all staying safe this evening. π
What a weekend itβs been eh! Not as many matches as usual, but once again weβve seen communities pull together and volunteers go above and beyond trying to get games on. Thatβs non-league football at its very best.
If a match is postponed during the winter due to a frozen pitch:
β Itβs not βridiculousβ, βsuspiciousβ or a βtinpot clubβ
β
Itβs because of winter conditions
β
Volunteers will have done everything possible to try and get the game on
Having a go at clubs on social media really isnβt the answer.
π 10,000 followers on X! π
Thank you for following, sharing and supporting what we do. It genuinely means a lot.
Hereβs to every volunteer who never asks for thanks, but deserves it the most.
Non-league football would not exist without volunteers like you, and your efforts never go unnoticed.
Wishing you a happy, healthy New Year and another year of great moments on and off the pitch.
Thank you for everything you do.
Through cold mornings, busy matchdays and everything in between, you show up. Football does not stop at Christmas, and neither do you.
As we head into a new year, I just want to say thank you to the people who keep non-league football going week in, week out. The ones who turn up early, stay late, and give their time simply because they care about their club and their community.
π Happy New Year to everyone involved in non-league football.
This is what football looks like when it belongs to the community.
Affordable. Passionate. Authentic.
Get involved. Support local. Viva Non-League β€οΈ

π Non-League football is booming and the English football pyramid really is something special.
Yesterday was a perfect example π
We asked to hear about lovely gestures from volunteers, and were reminded of Lower Breck FCs secretary Jim.
βLower breck. Not sure what his name was but a couple of disabled fans sat on seats reserved for LB disabled fans so the guy went in and brought a sofa out for the visitors. Qualityβ
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the incredible volunteers who keep non-league football going, often behind the scenes and without recognition.
Your dedication never goes unnoticed.
Thank you for everything you do. β€οΈ

π KING OF THE JUNGLE β NON-LEAGUE LINK!
Huge congratulations to Angry Ginge , sponsor of Daisy Hill FCβs stadium, on being crowned King of the Jungle on this yearβs Iβm a Celebrityβ¦ Get Me Out of Here!
They donβt do it for fame.
They donβt do it for money.
They do it because they love their club.
Hereβs to every volunteer keeping non-league football alive. β€οΈ
