fujoshi are a sign of fertile soil, like a parasol mushroom in your potting soil. when you see them, even where you may not expect one, you should be grateful for their presence. it is a fortuitous sign of growth to come, and an inspiring reminder of their resilience and adaptability.
I donβt think we talk enough about how the foundational, most aspirational premise of the AI industry is βwhat if there was a human-level intelligence that didnβt have human rights.β Like. Exploitation is literally the whole point! Of COURSE they hold human life, intelligence and labour in contempt!
I finally lost my shit about so-called AIs, LLMs, enshittification & everything fucking evil that @officialgrammarly.bsky.social is doing. I'm fucking furious, and not just about what 1 company has done. An open letter to Grammarly & the rest of the LLM hype machine www.moryan.com/an-open-lett...

It turns out that when a captain gets married onboard his own ship, the first mate officiates. The situation isnβt any different for co-captains.

Photo of my fluffy white cat Francie, curled up asleep under my arm with one of her forelegs draped across me like a hug. Iβm wearing blue and white striped pajamas with black piping.
One of my favorite things in the whole world is when I come home after being out for a few hours and Francie is always like "Peep! Peep!" and she doesn't want food, she doesn't want toys, she leads me to the couch because she specifically needs me to lie down for a snuggle. π₯Ή
It's valid to tell people "I have plans" if your plans are to sit on your couch. That's a type of plans

What's scary about this story is the surveillance it hints at. This trans woman had changed her name, legally, but chose not to change her gender marker. She was apparently flagged in the DMV system as trans and her license was invalidated under a law that supposedly only concerned gender markers.
once again reminding everyone to funnel your emotions into organizing and building solidarity in your community and not pointless doomscrolling

It's come to my attention that my doujinshi is being put on an illegal uploading website (it got pirated ).
I know whoever did it is following me and is also deleting my comments to take it down...
@totomo_fukumaru posting on twitter of their dog having a glow with the text: They call it "AoE"
Reposting this because, hilariously, someone running an AI news aggregator just plagiarized the hell out of it and got shared 3x as much as the original post. So you know, here's the actual piece. Where I talk about LLMs making copies of copies of copies of copies and how that drives disinformation.

Nai unfolds his arms and braces himself on the desk behind him. βYou always did like broken things,β he says to Vash. βEven when they made you sad.β

"I knew you'd like him," Nai says, looking out a large window at a lit-up cityscape spread out far below. βYou always did have a soft spot for a lost cause. Vash jerks back, but his feet are glued to the floor. He looks around wildly: tall windows, shelves lined with books, a broad desk with no one behind it - he doesn't recognize this place. How did he get here? The answer comes to him in a wave of relief. "I'm dreaming," Vash says. Nai turns away from the window. His hood is pushed back and the disapproval on his face is clear. "If you want to call it that. You've been among them too long." Vash works on trying to move his legs. If this is a dream, he can just β will them free, right? He yanks on one leg, then the other, thinking unsticky thoughts. No luck. Nai sighs. "Always doing things the hard way." He moves away from the window, toward Vash. "I do," Vash grunts, pulling at one leg. "What I have to."
"And yet always in the wrong direction." Nai's voice is calm, reflective. His hands slide against Vash's cheeks, cupping Vash's jaw and forcing him to look up. "Even now." Vash swallows, giving up on moving his legs. His hands come up to curl around Nai's wrists. The warmth of Nai's hands is startling against his skin. Vash fights not to lean into it. "I'm coming for you, Nai," he says. Even if this is a dream β and Vash is less sure of that with every passing second β Nai deserves to hear it from him. Nai smiles, sharp as his adopted namesake. "I know, brother," he says, leaning forward. "I look forward to it." The kiss is sharp, full of teeth and pressure. Vash tries to jerk back but his feet are still frozen, and Nai is holding him in place. Blood blooms in Vash's mouth and when Nai pulls back his lips are red. "Enjoy your watchdog. I'll see you soon."
Vash thrashes awake, limbs tangling in the blankets. He jerks upright, breathing hard. There's a sudden watchful quality to the silence in the bed next to him. Vash reaches out blindly until one hand finds a leg under the covers, and rests it there. "Everything okay?" Wolfwood's voice is quiet in the dimly lit room, but he sounds alert and awake. Vash looks over. Wolfwood's chest is bare, the covers tangled around his waist, but he has one arm under the pillow. Vash swallows, tasting blood. He flops back down, rolling on his side so he can face Wolfwood. One of Wolfwood's hands, the one that doesn't have a finger on a trigger underneath the pillow, comes up, thumb rubbing across Vash's mouth. "You ever have bad dreams?" Vash asks. Wolfwood blinks. "Sure. Everyone does." Nai doesn't, Vash doesn't say. "Hell of a bad dream," Wolfwood says, inspecting his fingers. Even in the dim light, they're streaked with red. "Maybe try not having those." Lost cause, Vash thinks. He tries a smile. It's not his best effort, and those never work on Wolfwood, but he has to try. "Yeah. I'll try."
