EXCLUSIVE: At more than 30 installations, U.S. commanders told troops the war on Iran is a Christian war.
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation has been “inundated” with more than 110 complaints.
One NCO said they were told the U.S. war is to bring about Armageddon and the return of Jesus…
Please donate to The Sameer Project and their Ramadan Campaign to support families in Gaza. They do incredible work.
An amazing MN Librarian assembled us a reading list to add to the website so people can do more than donate, they can learn to organize in their communities.

I know there is a lot happening in the US, and there are needs to be met in Gaza too. My friend Eslam is trying to raise funds for her family. Winter conditions in Gaza are harsh and life threatening. Israel’s not allowing in aid needed to support families. Please consider donating to her campaign
🚨 Must watch: Nicole Widdersheim of Human Rights Watch, her voice audibly breaking, describes atrocities against civilians in Sudan that are now “on par, if possibly not worse,” than those during the Darfur genocide two decades ago. She said both the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) are “targeting civilians,” and that the RSF is carrying out an ethnic cleansing campaign marked by mass executions and widespread sexual violence, including rape, forced marriage, and child marriage—acts she said are “very likely” genocide. She said the SAF has also committed war crimes, including indiscriminate airstrikes, mass detention, and abuse of civilians in areas it has retaken. Widdersheim said RSF fighters have filmed themselves committing massacres “with no fear,” including killing civilians as they attempted to flee—evidence, she said, of total impunity. She warned that civilians in South Kordofan now face an “imminent risk of mass atrocities to the level and the volume that we saw in al-Fashir just two months ago.” She condemned what she called a “pathetic” international response, saying U.S. policy across administrations has been uncoordinated and ineffective, allowing violence to escalate unchecked: “These have all been acts with words and no actions.” Widdersheim criticized the lack of a clear U.S. and Quad strategy on Sudan, saying, “The United States government is a major actor in this situation. It can do much more than it has… In my 27 years working on Sudan and South Sudan, I have never seen the U.S. government writ large so unengaged on the region.”
“The U.S. is losing its moral credibility in the world and in Sudan,” she warned. “There’s so much more you can do to help the Sudanese people survive this terrible time.” She pleaded Congress to either advance the Sudan Peace Act introduced by Rep. Sara Jacobs or pass new legislation establishing clear, enforceable recommendations to guide the Trump administration in the President “newfound interest in Sudan to bring peace.” @NWiddersheim

After Mount Tamalpais, I Tell Etel Adnan About Supernatural - Summer Farah "I make paintings and watercolors of Tamalpais. Again and again. Why do I insist? Am I trying to hold some image, to capture some meaning, to assert its presence, to measure myself to its timelessness, to fight, or to accept? —Etel Adnan, Journey to Mount Tamalpais" I understand, I tell her, the desire to not only return but to be consumed. I have had obsessions, I have been made small by those obsessions, I wonder if you would agree it is possible for something to be absolute but still unseen. I was Cassandra, once. I wanted dearly to go to the mountain. Instead of cliches, I design my pulse to loneliness anew. It’s different than ten years ago—I go outside, now, take its contradiction with me. Oh the most painful love-story of them all! These gaps between comprehension! I could never forget, no matter how many times they beg me to. The mountain was there before us and it will be there after. Yes, a return; each journey wrought another history, each day I try to capture its form; why do I insist? In lieu of a paintbrush, I sew my voice in its throat. In the Beginning, there was Blood, Horror, Myth, Obsession; and then there was Love, there was, I swear, when the static spilled! again and again, our eyes stained with its evidence, We find new proof uncovered on every return. We were all Cassandra, once, young and hysterical, oh, I hope you’ll understand I take it so seriously when I say the violence shifted subjects. Oh, we screamed! we screamed! We swore our eyes were true! Audience becomes the blood, the horror, the myth, the static, Again, and again, you said, again, and again, I say, again, again.

Guys I don’t feel so great and I want to take a nap but this is the best time to share and Yacoub has not raised much today so if possible if you all could share him too?
I’ve been talking with Eslam for some time— her account @soma-eslam.bsky.social was unfairly suspended. Please email moderation@blueskyweb.xyz
and ask Bluesky to restore it. Every message counts to help her get her voice and community back.
Eslam has been a welcome presence on our feeds before the Israeli war and famine, and she's still desperately trying to get her family out of Gaza.
Can we help her out?
You know the drill. Donate only if you can. Spread the word if you cannot.

@moderation.bsky.app why did you delete @soma-eslam.bsky.social account? She is my friend and trying to build a community of support for herself and her family. Stop targeting Palestinians who are trying to survive a genocide!
“In a world that tries to reduce us to statistics, we have become storytellers. A single date carries the story of a family’s love, a child’s survival, a father’s absence and a people’s refusal to stop being human.” - Asem Alnabih
My friend Eslam has had her account removed by bluesky moderation. This is not the first time. I want to tell you what she said happened to her, but first, i’d like you to see Eslam’s campaign, since she is apparently not allowed here to share it herself.

The murder of U.S. citizen Sayfollah Musallet by Israeli settlers in the West Bank parallels what American settlers did to Indigenous people. From the time of the American Revolution, US citizens squatted on tribal land in violation of treaties & US law. This is how the US constantly expanded.🧵

A developing situation here in MN: lots of people talking about it over on IG but not seeing it on here: looks like local poet and activist Isa Lopez got snatched by federal agents. Georgia Fort is reporting on it too. For now, just re-sharing the call(s) to action that Jeremiah Ellison shared:
