Simpsons on the Strand. A famous historic restaurant and a favourite of Churchills (however he did like to eat out a lot) set to reopen this year!

Love drawing will never stop
Happy womenβs day. Venus de milo in sketch
Iβm going international some drawings. Three drawings of three countries. Any guesses?
Holland Park in London. So beautiful
Thanks and I love that place!
Thanks. I have a free Patreon with tips which may help. Good luck on your journey
Donβt you love the corners of Baroque churches. This oneβs St. Stephenβs in Passau Germany captured in watercolour.
The Petra Treasury in pen and watercolour. Amazing skill in cutting these temples for the rock. This one actually contains burials underneath.
Who doesnβt love a hot se with ivy, a big garden and a stream!
Before and after, which is best?
Christβs College, Cambridge. Apparently the mulberry tree in its garden has its own ghost. A remorseful old Fellow Christopher Round paces around the tree and the 17th-century swimming pool at midnight; he allegedly drowned a romantic rival there centuries ago.
Study of the coliseum and its immense arches. Itβs peeking through two trees I havenβt finished and damn I just noticed I missed a window at the top π
Arches always seem to lead someplace special. Think I got the perspective a bit off on this one π
Watercolour is particularly good at capturing light on architecture. Luminous
Gates mean so much in Western and Eastern cultures. Here is a watercolour of the Gate of Literature. The Gate known as VΔn MiαΊΏu MΓ΄n, is the main entrance to the Temple of Literature (VΔn MiαΊΏu) in Hanoi, Vietnam. A thousand years oldβ¦
I love the way sandstone gives depth and smoky shadows. Before and after in watercolour. This painting is Battle Abbey.
Just love reflections in watercolourβ¦
Before and after in pen and watercolour
Next three ready to watercolour. Love drawing architecture!
It seems magical
The Ivy Garden Chelsea. You know it used to be a pub called the six bells for 600 years or so. The bells still hand in the Ivy. #watercolour
Wow was it good?
Cottage goals. This lovely building is Caswell House captured in watercolour
The Foundling Museum. The first place established to protect vulnerable children. Lovely.
The Holburne in Bath. Now a museum but previously a hotel where some pretty racy things went on!
Hatfield House in watercolour. In November 1558 the young Elizabeth Tudor was sitting under this great oak when she was told that her halfβsister Mary I had died and that she herself was now queen of England. The oak died so in 1985 Queen Elizabeth II planted a replacement. Lovely.
I do like a pretty door and sometimes that can just be colour and nature.
Thanks. I never know which is best. Often the ink is more popular on socials
Thanks so much. Mainly pen these days. I will set up pencil guides first often. I show my process on my Patreon. Take a look itβs alway free as I hope to pass on my techniques, I think they are easy in a way
