I wish they had a somewhat more graceful Bluetooth management system. Having it always on definitely uses the battery faster, but having to go manually turn it on each time lead to me never using the remote.
You can also use any Bluetooth “keyboard” as the remote. 8bitDo micro is a popular choice and also is a gamepad.
