In the new Interlude, we focus on teaching. To help us, we are joined by Jamie Willis who is a Teaching Fellow at Imperial College London. The episode explores the benefits of live coding, and why Haskell is the best language for teaching programming.

Rendered
Notorious mad lad @iankduncan.com has opened a GHC Proposal to add hints to guide branch prediction! github.com/ghc-proposal...

Think I may get to actually be a compiler engineer for a bit here. Discovered that GHC has some pretty ripe opportunities for codegen improvements for AArch64

Functional programming is a sub-family in the larger Declarative Programming genre. It's just that some languages have evolved from Declarative without taking the Functional road, like Logic languages (Prolog/Datalog) and Query Languages (SQL).

Documentation
The Haskell purely functional programming language home page.
Lambda calculus, much like drawing, only needs a pencil and some paper. No need to plan for the Moon, just write and draw to get used to it. :)
And then you can pick a book www.haskell.org/documentation/
