Yes, it is. We got the ferry over from Italy and we were going to stay by the coast originally but it seemed very seasonal so we came to Tirana instead (only 40 mins drive)

It’s been great. Tirana is really cool, loads of trendy bars and modern architecture. We’ll definitely come back.

Yes, five levels underground. But the staircases between them are enormous big open concrete spaces that reminded me more of a 1960s school building than a bunker. It’s so odd.

It was huge! Very different to Hack Green though: Hack Green feels like an underground office. Bunk’Art feels like a dictator’s underground fortress. It’s basically in the side of a mountain.

We just visited one of Enver Hoxha’s (the former Albanian dictator’s) nuclear bunkers.

It’s astonishing. Over 100 rooms, five stories down into the earth, with even a theatre down there.

I hated it.

Terrifying to think that once again, the world is considering such things necessary.

Legitimising Russia’s invasion is a step too far though. The Italian government is literally helping Ukraine fight them. Ridiculous.

Did a big wardrobe refresh today (Albania is cheaper than other places). I made a conscious choice not to spend any money on American brands. It was harder than I expected, but honestly, I’m not funding their war.
