The Brackeys game jam 2026.1 results are here and I am super proud. Of 1400 games that got rated, my game rated mainly in the 200-300s for most categories! This was my first jam and I have never had so many people play one of my games and comment on it. #godot #gamedev #brackeysgamejam

Two stood out to me through the multiple test I played:
Story/Lore/Factions: I loved Destiny + plus Bungie Halo/old Marathon lore (Maybe biased). Progression is greatly tied to unlocking bits of story through the codex.
Each faction has many upgrades that overall makes you stronger.

It's been a few days(boo work). Player animations are in but need another pass, got a weapon model, and a inventory system (that lets you drop and pick up the item off the floor! I will put this is another video). Also finally got a actual level in. This is the hub of the game
First update of the day. Lots of behind the scenes logic, including the start of the system to handle the player going from a hub to other levels (time permitting more than one lol). To balance out the coding I got my character's model in ( created by MCSTEEG on itch.io). #brackeys #godot #gamedev

Evil. Nightmare shit. And just to be absolutely clear: It's already evil, even when they aren't killing people and even when they get "proper training." When moments like this burst up, they're like bubbles indicating that the water is boiling. The whole institution is built to enact an evil agenda
He leans down to help the woman who was pushed up off the ground and out of the snow. She tries to reach up for a hand up, but because of the ice, is stumbling a little. As he tries again to lift her up, ICE throws him to the ground. FIve men pin him down. A sixth freaks out puls his gun and shoots.
He's directing traffic. He steps inbetween ICE and two women who are being harrassed by them (one of whom was shoved to the ground for no reason), raises his hands and turns away from them and says "Okay! Okay!" to indicate he isn't going to be aggressive, at which point they start with pepper spray

Wow Midnight pick up is huggggggge. Return to form for the game. Going to review very very well.
Do the project to reset. I also do trials as I find them fun. Getting enough resources to easily gear up consistently with the best stuff is something else to do. Also could do runs where you go in with nothing.
