This is quite an interesting little news piece about the Kent Womenβs team & a good insight into Megan Beltβs day-to-day.
Perhaps the saddest bit was the brief glimpse of the named
cubbyholes at Beckenham, which all appear to belong to Surrey Women. Thatβs just not right!
That's probably why it isn't very Tory then....

Another evening, another meeting with councillors. Tonight the Chief Constable and I were in Wokingham discussing local policing. We talked about the increase in neighbourhood policing, more shoplifters being charged, work to tackle anti-social behaviour and efforts to improve road safety.

Rachel Reeves holding a red box resembling the Chancellor's Budget box. Various items like a pint of beer, keys, a menu, a coffee cup, and tickets are sticking out of the box. Text on the box reads: "CUT VAT PROTECT OUR HIGH STREETS."
High streets are struggling, with pubs, restaurants and cafΓ©s shutting their doors.
Cutting VAT on hospitality and energy would put money back in peopleβs pockets, support local jobs, and give the country a much-needed boost.
Happy International men's day to any of our Cis, trans or gnc followers
While I don't like it, it's better than nothing at all
Wokingham has a very strong Hong Kong community, many of whom have told me their concerns about Chinese espionage and its influence in British politics.
Yesterday, I asked the Minister of State at the Home Office what he is doing to protect the Hong Kong community, especially my constituents.

Please see below for details of the 4th annual Youth Politics Evening on Friday December 5th, 2025, 5.30-8pm, which is open to students aged 11-18 in Wokingham.
I was honoured to attend local Remembrance services today alongside residents across Wokingham, paying tribute to those who gave everything for our freedom.
I also continued to help raise donations for the Royal British Legion.
Hereβs what else IΒ didΒ thisΒ week:
Prue Bray: I am so angry I almost canβt type www.libdemvoice.org/prue-bray-i-...
I welcomed Ed Davey during his visit to Wokingham last week, where we called for Thames Water to be put into special administration and visited The Cowshed charity.
I also attended Send Voices Wokinghamβs Local Offer Live event and celebrated Diwali.
Hereβs a few of the other things IΒ did:

Pretty normal compared to most of our neighbours - go and look at the Royal Biro of Windsor & Maidenhead, if you want low
At a rough guess , that would take about a 20% Council Tax hike in Wokingham, to make up that shortfall & keep the status quo
A digital billboard mounted on a truck parked on a city street displays a political advertisement from the Liberal Democrats. The sign reads: βCANβT STAND TO BE A KEMI CONSERVATIVE?β and includes excerpts from The Telegraph and The Guardian about Tory policies and internal disputes. The message at the bottom says, βJoin us: LibDems.org.uk/join.β
Good morning Conservative conference... Can't stand to be a Kemi Conservative any more?
Join us.
I know spare dollars are hard to come by, but if you have a couple for Wokingham Pride....

Poland closing its airspace shows how close this war is to all of us.
Our "war-ready Britain" plan calls for action - we must urgently improve our military readiness and public awareness in the face of Putin's aggressive ambition.
"My ambition β for our party, our values, our ideas β has no ceiling.
And our ambition for our country has no ceiling either."

Walked to Boscombe and back in the dark (gave me a strange urge to watch The Stones of Blood).
Fine along the beach; went slightly off-target from a roundabout the other way, but on The Hobbit Day, was cheered to find this:

If you have wondered why trans people (and many others) were so upset by the supreme court ruling earlier this year, this article from Sarah Brown explains it well: www.libdemvoice.org/why-are-uk-t...
I saw that post - it was horrible.
