Actually I'm so back, apparently there were still copies left on the main Warhammer US shop website
DOOM fully rendered in CSS. Every surface is a <div> that has a background image, with a clipping path with 3D transforms applied. Of course CSS does not have a movable camera, so we rotate and translate the scene around the user.
I remember it being an article but I cant find it with how bad google/duckduck search is now
Photographs of a dinosaur-looking bird, the shoebill, and popstar Sabrina Carpenter, overlaid with a height comparison showing both are 152 cm, with visual graphics saying the magazine's name SSWAGGER and some Chinese characters
Photographs of a shoebill and popstar Sabrina Carpenter overlaid with a height comparison showing that, yes indeed, both are just 152 cm
I can't even begin to describe this photograph. I think that might be Taylor Swift on a night out with Sabrina Carpenter. But Sabrina is photoshopped to have a shoebill face and talons, with wing-tips coming out her coat but still Sabrina's hair
Just incredible shoebill awareness-raising from this Hong Kong teens' magazine
really useful read in the context of conversations weβre having (about Valveβs math, about what being indie looks like, etc)
They're going to destroy the global economy but watching them squirm to try to stop oil prices from skyrocketing due to their stupidity is entertaining
The laundry is ded, long live the laundry
pokemon just released basically what is their version of animal crossing to broad acclaim and i am just asking what did the pokemon company know and when did they know it
Fast zombies but they tore their ACL so they canβt go up or down stairs fast
Screenshot of lecture slides showing stuff about simplex method, gradient descent, and newtons method
Like every time the lectures put stuff in geometric or algebraic terms I donβt understand it, and struggle to then actually solve the hw math problem
I look at the newtons method and can puzzle out its doing the - hessian raised to the - gradient power but I have no idea why or what that means
The simplex method?
Oh I actually find it fucking confusing.
Getting some house shaking thunder
This is like the least blue of them lol!
Wow, how ironic I make this post about not having the free time to play video games and today of all days the office hour recording lectures arenβt uploaded so I wouldβve had the free time
Damn im sorry
when my destiny 2 gaming group went inactive post TFS I wondered if people would come back for Marathon or to hop on d2 out of nostalgia. But nah seems the whole server is dead which I guess works out as I dont have much free time anyway
like I donβt like extraction shooters but i would have got it
Really liked this one where thereβs a cool laser to see if the hallway is straight youtube.com/shorts/shDtd...
"you best start believing in catastrophic energy shocks - you're in one"
that was horrifying (the cracks and the water damage) and great (seeing that hand tapping for emphasis and when things donβt sound like they should)
Itβs midterm time now:
1) the classes Iβm in sure seem designed to only be passable w/ lots of self teaching just from how grading is structured
2) i really do have some sort of inability to understand math problems unless the material was taught where the step by step way to solve it is the same
People in Glass' house shouldn't throw stupid comments
So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and theyβre simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was βyour piano is too close to the fireplace, youβll dry it outβ and if thatβs not the internet in a nutshell I donβt know what is.
Kalshi employees "kind of understand that without the tweets and the streamers and all of the social-media stuff that the traders do for them, usually just for free, their marketing would be a lot harder," said Jack Campion, 20, a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Kalshi affiliate. In September, Kalshi briefly signed up a 15-year-old videogame streamer who goes by vertid online to promote its brand on X as an affiliate. A week later, Kalshi ended the partnership. "Yo brother, legal team confirmed that we can't work with minors rn," a Kalshi employee wrote to the user in messages reviewed by the Journal. "Kinda sad tbh."

Interesting dishonored 2 over dishonored 1?
And it doesnβt even teach you how to type the code!
This continues to be painfully true
