Bc this was a baby who died, it was a hand & footprint painting instead of a fingerprint painting. It's hard to think about kids dying, but our @3wishesprogram.bsky.social volunteer artist did such a wonderful job with the parent's request--depicting the 3 little animals that were on her mobile.

I made yakiudon tonight and am reminded by what my sister @julieh325.bsky.social said to me during the pandemic about this dish: “if you just made more so I can take home, I wouldn’t have to come over so often”. she’s so helpful like that.

I met with my mentors yesterday & told them I'm tired and don't think I want to be a physician-scientist anymore. To my surprise, they really tried to convince me out of it. Two said "but you're my most successful mentee". Tbh, it felt kind of nice. Like having proud parents or something.
