I am so excited to announce my book "Who Cares About Wales" will be out this Friday! What is even more exciting is the reviews. When you pour a year of work into 95,000 words you start to question if what you have written is any good. 1/3
Excellent podcast from @welshhistorypod.bsky.social
Really enjoyed learning about the The Welsh Women's Movement. It is fascinating to find out how they influenced the government at the time.
It's awful that the Wales curriculum does not have this front and centre honestly!

NEW: The Lib Dems are demanding MPs get a vote on allowing the US to use UK air bases.
Leader Ed Davey says:
“No matter how the Prime Minister tries to redefine offensive as defensive, this is a slippery slope. He must not let Trump drag Britain into another prolonged war in the Middle East.”
Really interesting read.
Early medieval Wales was clearly not for the faint-hearted. 🌊
“Do the little things.” ✨
Beyond the daffodils 🌼 and costumes, who was St David?
My long-form look at the history, the myth, and the mind of Wales’ patron saint. 🏴
Can't wait to see how the left wing tactical voting against Reform plays out in the May elections! 🗳️
A new independent bookshop that pairs great reads with a good cup of tea is set to open this week
Here is the conclusion of my first three part series on Famous Welsh Minds.
I have worked through hypothesising on Jemima's MBTI type from the information available, and concluded the story of The Last Invasion of Britain.
Please let me know what you think 😊

Later today I will be posting the third part about the surrender on 24th Feb 1797
And hypothesising about Jemima's MBTI personality 🤓
On the 23rd February 1797, the British commander withdrew — and the people of Fishguard were left to face the French army alone.
Jemima Nicholas emerges on the scene, and in Part II I explore the historical records behind the woman who came to symbolise Welsh resistance.
Part II is now live!
Shwmae pawb!👋
On this day in 1797, French troops landed at Fishguard — the last invasion of mainland Britain.
I’ve just published Part I of a three-part deep dive into the events and the story of Jemima Nicholas.
I’d love your thoughts if you read it.
Parts II & III follow over the next two days.
Thanks for the repost John! I hope you enjoyed Fishguard!

Never would have thought to make that connection! 😂 Excellent work from @dsquareddigest.bsky.social 📖
Any more details?
Very much on board with this - where should the statue be placed though? 👀
It seems quite medieval to me for a shire to be led by a floppy headed 19 year old.. 🐻
Shwmae pawb 👋
New long read on Gwenllian ferch Gruffudd — warrior princess, literary mystery, and a figure shaped as much by memory as by history.
Based on primary sources, later romantic retellings, and modern scholarship, with a cautious MBTI analysis at the end.

I can't wait to see how the May election in Wales plays out 🏴📝
Looks absolutely beautiful, I love a hike! I'll have to put it on a list for future trips ✈️
Thank you very much! I hope you enjoy the long-form content! :)
Snowdonia is a stunning part of the world if I say so myself ⛰️
What about Vermont?
Hi all, I’m Gwyn!

🛡️ On this day in 1240, Wales lost its greatest ruler — Llywelyn Fawr. An ENTJ before MBTI existed, he built unity from chaos. Vision, structure, legacy.
