I guess the best combination could be someone with technical skills and an expert in the field where the app is categorized. I wonder if there is also data on that.
Is it better to team up with somebody for your #startup or is it better to do it on your own?
My opinion is that, if you find the right co-founder, it is better together. But it is so difficult to find a person with the same commitment in your idea as you, that sometimes it is better to go alone.

Thanks for your insight! Even with Function calling I struggled to get a proper result in the past, took me a lot of fine-tuning to get to 75% good responses. But maybe I was asking too much 😂
Tbf 90% of the times is good enough, in my experience it has been more like 75%…
Does it worry you that 10% of the people get a bad impression of the app on their first try?
Like I imagine OpenAI trying to force a JSON format response with prompts being: “Return a JSON following the model or a little kitten will die”
I see indie hackers making apps that use AI. Are the models you implement on your apps effective at solving the tasks?
Most models even struggle to follow JSON model formats when they get a little complex.

I have built a few drafts of apps with current AI models, and many times the results have disappointed me. Even with top models.
I would invest money long-term, but I understand how big corps are struggling to make money from AI short-term.

I usually try to think if a similar solution can be applied to a different field that I am knowledgeable of or that I like. Obviously with some tweaks to adapt it to that industry.
But yours is an interesting take! I’ll have to work on my retrospection to apply your method to my next adventure. 😉

I usually scroll through the App Store’s new releases or browse ProductHunt. It inspires me to see what new technologies people are using and think about how I could implement them in innovative ways in fields I enjoy.
The world needs more entrepreneurs and less landlords.
They are automated, created by AI. Maybe I add the option of exchanging letters with other users as well in the future.
