The Prime Minister could interveneβ¦
Overlooking what the radetzky march was supposed to celebrate β¦
Itβs just much stronger still in Central Europe. The number of people I know younger than me who watch the Vienna New Yearsβ concert is rather largeβ¦
I had trouble choosing. Both sets of pieces felt overwritten.
Expensive in the short term but generally pays off.
Thatβs what welfare systems are for but itβs better to educate people if possible. There are still so many people working far beneath their potential.
Better education
Add this to the pile for why manufacturing expansion or revival wonβt magically reduce unemployment for the low skilled
Worth it for the sentence βAI might displace some coders, but it wonβt make priests redundantβ
Iran people - why the intensity of attacks in Isfahan? Karanansheh is because of attempts to help the Kurds. There have traditionally been nuclear facilities around Isfahan. But is anything further going on?
Trump saying the warβs almost over, apart from this huge operation to secure the straits.
Because he doesnβt understand people being willing to take pain for long term goals it wouldnβt make any sense to him why the Iranian regime would keep fighting - just to trap American forces.
I currently run mistralβs devstral small on my macbook air. It works for me - the slowness stops me getting carried away with it - but that canβt support agentic vibe workflows. Iβd be interested in peopleβs experience running open models on, say a Mac Studio with 256gb of ram for example
I mean they could just use them as launch platforms for smart munitions but I wonder if Trumpβs just said send in the B52s in his usual outdated way.
They also suggest, if there is rationality in American planning, that regime change plans have been given up. In favour of what exactlyβ¦
Oh you mean as a seasonal medium or long term option! A bit more like the other north south grid options to compete with gas peakers or other capacity solutions. I still wonder about the economics but that feels a bit more viable (feels obviously being the latest unit of economic evaluation!)
Itβs too soon to tell who will win the war between the United States and Iran. But, at this point, my money would be on Russia and China. wapo.st/4ui9QzJ
Hmm but batteries will do the same much cheaper now.
Never a good way to rank a shadow cabinet itβs even more daft for a party that needs to make a case on the centre right.
Not the greatest idea for party discipline eitherβ¦
Mmmhmmm - I once went to an exhibition in Rome entirely consisting of interpretations of Judith and Holofernes.
It got a bit much by the fourth room
The tension between quality and popularityβs always been around in content production and distribution but itβs titled too far in the wrong directionβ¦most obviously in the war Trump started (and which Sultana opposes) neither position taken for any reason to do with what the war actually is.
β¦but doesnβt especially care because it helps her supporters
β¦the tv producers might or might not know itβs rubbish, but either donβt know or donβt care to know because they know itβs reasonable box office /
If we have an information economy - a set of incentives for people to produce certain content rather than others, and thus consume and produce information of a certain kind - itβs one that works badly, with incentives to produce rubbish.
Sultana must know thatβs rubbish /
I wonder if this is behind the more aggressive tactics Orban has employed (surrounding energy infrastructure with troops; seizing a Ukrainian cash train, etc)
If he thinks theyβll work heβs lost touch with confrontation averse Hungarian society.
Also another example of the various bits of Trumpβs id contradicting each other. He hates green stuff and loves oil. So he starts a war thatβs terrible for the oil industry.
I never had you down as a conservative:)
Greenlash is less and less viable in age of rising, volatile oil prices, and ever cheaper renewables and batteries.
The centre right should return to a politics of technological and economic progress β leave subsidising outdated industry to the socialists.
Another way in which an Γzdemir win would matter: in an age of greenlash, Germany's car-making homeland would have voted in a minister-president who champions electric cars while his CDU opponent worships the internal combustion engine.
