30 years of climate-health action + proven solutions and a vast global network ready to scale = a vision of protecting 100M patients worldwide with climate-smart healthcare 🌍💚
"By 2024, 63 health care institutions had joined Race to Zero for health. Our commitment was to double that number by 2028, but by now we have increased that number by almost 50%. So we are pledging today to triple the number of institutions participating in Race to Zero by 2028," he said.
Josh Karliner and Emily Bancroft joined leaders at #ClimateWeekNYC for “Race to Zero: Unstoppable Momentum: Non-State Actors Powering the Clean Energy Shift”.
During the session, Karliner highlighted that momentum continues to grow within the health sector

Fact: If global healthcare were a country, it would be the 5th-largest emitter, driving nearly 5% of global carbon emissions and creating toxic waste that harms vulnerable communities.
