I support this. Specifically I think Americans should learn how to pronounce aluminium (hint it’s not aloominum). Also learn to spell colour and stop putting z’s in place of s (eg optimize). Also I’m a unit snob, they should adopt SI units.

Huh
Not just economic: diplomatic, US citizens abroad.
Wow, he’s now doing live Monty python sketches.
I’m not sure that’s correct. AI compresses delivery, so that might change the roles. Generally speaking, kanban is better suited to the new world than scrum for this reason. That said, scrum master has always been the first role that is no longer needed.
Using an LLM to write software only works if the person driving the LLM knows what they’re doing.
The problem is divergent strategies. Israel wants to smash up Iran so that it cannot be a threat. The US strategy is ... well, what is the US strategy? What do they want? So they're left with waiting for something to happen, then saying: no not that.
“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy—they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money” The Great Gatsby
Did he say pretty please? I’m sure if you ask really, really nicely they’ll do it.
There is a guy walking a goat in front of him. Not sure what that means but I’m sure someone else can find some significance.
Articles get soiled when you read them. Far better to leave than in them unread and in mint condition.
The Toyota wars has a new entry
One of the features of this season is that all the timelines are compressed. A company can go from nothing to a unicorn to out of business in less than a year.
He was the last good Republican president. Amazing how they’ve declined since then.
Anytime I see mpg, it automatically translates in my mind to rods per hogshead and I wonder when America will adopt SI units.
With this in hand, you can
1. build an integration test
2. then refactor the code
3. check the integration test still runs
4. then just delete the integration test because it’s basically free to recreate
It’s a great use case. Allows better communication on what you’re looking for from the team. Also lets them prototype different options and see how they feel when using them.
I’m finding a similar question in another space. I’ve got a Claude skill that can basically create integration tests with minimal oversight. In that world, you don’t particularly care whether the tests aren’t perfect because recreating them is close to free.
This article should be one of a series. There was only one glaring oversight? How about considering the impact of closing the straits of Hormuz?
I can certainly see Donald Trump wanting to have the war over well before the mid terms. But will the Iranians? For example, will the straits of Hormuz be open?
I feel it’s a bit over the top even for Team America.
My working theory is that they have the memory of a goldfish. It explains a lot.
They’re already blocked. Likely from similar earlier interactions. This feels good.
Hope it’s resolved ok. Would definitely miss you here if you left.
Maybe you should try the Australian solution. This is where you talk about build HSR about ever 10 years, but never build any. In reality it's because the numbers never make sense, but it comes up with amusing regularity.
Will the pilot paint 3 F-15s on his F/A-18? 2 more and he’s an ace.
Surprised or horrified? They can look similar.
