the nintendo switch/2 is such an evil console format. why did i just go from playing paranormasight on my monitor with a bag of chips like it's a tv show to finishing it while watching my pot simmer as i meal prepped for the week. i love hybrid gaming
paranormasight: the seven mysteries of honjo (3/10/26)
strong start and then falters with how longwinded the exposition gets. some excellent points in those moments even if the overarching mystery is a bit simple. worth playing for the presentation alone, though i wish it leaned further into horror
it rushes through the confusion and horror of the premise in a way that makes sense for the story's length, but imo characters struggling to come to grips with things is the best part of occult horror. the curses bestowing knowledge of + familiarity with the mechanics of the setting is a bit boring
having a ton of fun with this vn and piecing together all the little nooks and crannies of the overarching mystery but man i wish this game was a bit scarier๐ฅน. i was thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere of the first hour or so and then it becomes strictly mystery rather than horror. it's great though
