However, the king is not depicted in a pose typical of a divinity, and it is therefore likely that the woman is a relative, perhaps Queen Shapurdukhtak of Sakastan.

Today out in the pine barrens I saw a bunch of cellophane bees!

I'm not sure if they were emerging for the first time today or just hanging in holes, I honestly don't know a ton about these bees. I saw around 20 of them sprinkled throughout the trails in little clusters of 5-10 burrows.

Wellll I started taking pictures of my cat as if she was getting married, so, yeah. I mean, great.

The mosaic is a large square divided into four strips of scenes featuring men and animals, bordered by a chain-style frame. The top two sections depict intense hunting scenes: a shepherd fighting a lion, a soldier fighting a lioness, and two horseback hunters defeating a bear and a wild boar. The lower scenes are pastoral but with a hint of the exotic: a shepherd watching his goat and sheep graze in the shade of trees; an ostrich on a leash held by a dark-skinned man; and a boy holding the leashes of a zebra and a spotted animal that looks very much like a camel but might be meant to represent a giraffe.

Prehensile-tailed porcupines get their name from their long tail that acts like a fifth limb. This tail is very strong and can support a porcupine’s full body weight. Very useful when you spend lots of your day climbing, like Ozzy!
