Oh it's such a great movie! Donald Sutherland and Brooke Adams have such great chemistry too- I find the early scene where he's making her dinner to be so endearing, and it really helps sell the horror of everything later on.

Yeah, it's a fascinating adaptation- made by someone who clearly adores the source material, but also has the most surface-level understanding of it possible. Still, there are some sequences in there that I think are pretty great- Dr. Manhattan's origin story still stands out to me.
