I grew up pre-widespread understanding of Gender. lot of folks insisted I was a gay guy & just didn’t know it (some derisive, others hopeful)

“they were too early” imo overplays extent to which it was an “adoption” problem and underplays the decade/s of further tech and infrastructure development that made all those examples much, much more desirable to adopt. Maybe AI gets there for similar reason but don’t think it’s about psychology
