i can't tell if caine is purposefully keeping him around for some unknowable reason or if kinger is just so resilient as a developer that he is too numb to the shenanigans to fully give in. but that possessed pomni line indicates whoever the ai is run by fucking hates his guts

also my prediction is that caine (or bubble if the virus theory is true) is harnessing the abstractions as human code to try extending his power to other devices in the office. kinger is held in high regard and resented at the same time for having so much knowledge buried under his blissful insanity

i really appreciate them leaning back into the old cgi aesthetic a tiny bit with these teaser renders. thats something i felt was almost left behind immediately after the pilot in favour of high detail and realism but its slowly coming back
