If you have the chance, id really recommend having a list of games you enjoy on your itch page, it helps others tremendously. Thats how i find most games, by looking at creators pages and seeing what they also like
a dungeon-meshi-like... a game about exploring a massive, winding dungeon, but the trick is learning its shape & ecology so you can navigate it w/o starving. red plants indicate a hidden spring. slime nests are a reliable food source. a guardian means stairs ahead, but spiders hint at a hidden route
Next time I run a roleplaying game, demon magic will work this way. Yes they do what you asked but also they're going to try to upsell you on some bullshit

I've recently started using @briangcronin.bsky.social's "black box sim" pattern for coding turn based games and one of the things I like about it is that the actions on screen reflect what is happening under the hood in a clear way. It makes it a lot easier to debug.
Same thing for horror games, I think!
