Star of the Month: October/November 2025 — Ally Schlegel Ally’s star lives in the Hydra – Female Water Snake – constellation, the largest constellation in the sky and is located in the southern celestial hemisphere. The constellation was first catalogued by the Greek astronomer Ptolemy in the 2nd century. It represents the Lernaean Hydra from the Greek myth of Heracles’ Twelve Labours Ally & Ella share a constellation, which is sisters with Sam's constellation
Star of the Month: October/November 2025 — Julia Grosso Julia’s star is in Carina, meaning “the keel” [of a ship], constellation is located in the southern sky. When discovered by Ptolemy in the 2nd century CE, Carina was part of a larger constellation called Argo Navis, but the constellation was divided into 3 smaller constellations by a French astronomer in the 18th century: Carina (the keel), Puppis (the stern), and Vela (the sails).

Star of the Month: September 2025 — Bea Franklin Bea’s star lives in Cetus, the fourth largest constellation, which was catalogued by Greek astronomer Ptolemy in the 2nd century and named after the sea monster from the Greek myth about Andromeda, a princess sacrificed to the monster as punishment for her mother Cassiopeia’s vanity. Perseus rescued the princess and defeated Cetus.

Star of the Month: May 2025 — Sam Staab Sam’s star lies in the Draco – meaning “the dragon” – Constellation, which is in the far northern sky. First catalogued by Ptolemy in the 2nd century, the constellation represents Ladon, the dragon that guarded the gardens of Hersperides in Greek mythology.

Star of the Month: June 2025 — Taylor Malham Taylor’s star can be found in the Dorado – meaning “dolphinfish” in Spanish – Constellation, which lies in the southern sky. Dorado was created by Petrus Plancius, a Dutch astronomer, who often named constellations after animals.

Star of the Month: April 2025 — Ludmila Ludmila’s star is in the Vulpecula, meaning “the little fox” in Latin, constellation in the northern sky. Vulpecula was introduced by the Polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius in the late 17th century.

Each month we adopted a star and named it for a player (or coach!) who made an impact on the field ✨ There's a sky full of Stars that's only going to grow this season!
