I love the idea that *this* US government, which has been nabbing landscapers and five year olds knows where Iranian sleeper cells are but just hasn’t gotten around to doing anything about it yet.
The government won't stop school shooters when we have plenty of evidence to know they're a threat. How exactly are we going to stop "sleeper cells" who have taken steps to mask their activities?
Truly, it sounds so familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.

Like, NO, this is not a "we have different values" or "I'm not comfortable with your 'lifestyle.'" This is discrimination plain and simple. They're pushing for legalized discrimination against trans people.
The Supreme Court literally ruled these laws were illegal back in 2020 with Bostock v. Clayton County. Republicans are speedrunning to overrule their own precedent so they can discriminate against trans people. THIS IS NOT OKAY
Within just a few hours of this morning's genocide warning from the Lemkin Institute, the 4th Circuit ruled that trans adults can have our care banned and be forced by any means to "appreciate our sex", and Iowa made it ILLEGAL to protect trans people.

sometimes i wonder if i get passed over for jobs because i'm trans and i think "nah i live in a blue state and the employment gap isn't as bad for trans guys as it is for trans women" but this in fact happened to a transmasc person in a blue state

As I have said repeatedly, the only move the anti-trans side has is pretending that they've found a scandal, then describe the way medicine (or medical research) works in every other field but trans care in breathless, scandalized tones.

It's truly disturbing watching trans people, mostly trans women, who are still regularly on X get their brains cooked in real time and start internalizing anti trans positions and try to police the community or give into far right framings. You are not immune from the propaganda.
And then it's going to be used as justification in US courts to ban trans healthcare.
New horrors on the way for trans adults in the UK... (When they did a similar review for trans teens, they threw out 97% of all studies and then basically went "wow, there's not any research to demonstrate this if effective; guess we gotta ban it.") Now it looks like they're doing same for adults.
