some printers need to be "told" you've changed the ink cartridge, despite them making all the whirls and clicking noises when you do it.

check the Epson printer app on your computer, or it may be in one of the settings on the printer itself

can you not print to pdf and email it?

presuming not, and it's been a while since ive had to rage against home printers (but I feel the rage stirring just thinking out it).
