So, certain things (just construction so far) are on real world timers, but otherwise mostly no. So the construction can soft cap some progress in one direction, but just forces you to work on other things (of which there is a lot)

You know Pokopia has its hooks in me because I woke up and my first thought was "oh I gotta check in and see if that construction is done yet"

There's always another request you're about to complete, another little corner to explore, another timed construction task about to complete, just MORE.
