there are exactly two notable changes that i assume will be contentious, two big twists from WAAAAAY later that come up very early. but i don't mind it. i think i see what they're going for, and it'll read way different for new viewers in a way that i think is fun. there's a very funny misdirect

i feel like some of the actors are starting to occasionally act a little more like their anime counterparts (mostly nami and zoro) in a way that feels less like a course correction and more just like... the characters are more comfortable being themselves around each other now. it's good
