Visiting Cincinnati and decided to try Skyline Chili. Its odd. Very nutmeg heavy. I’m still not sure how I feel about it

Evening at the ferry. Love taking the Colsac III in Merrimac, WI, it is one of the few free ferries out there. For me, it is also a childhood favorite, stopping for ice cream and then riding the ferry; always a nice way to end a trip home from Wisconsin

Kayak day out on the mighty Nipersink Creek. Went with coworkers from my winter job and ended up drinking and chatting more than kayaking.

Protection plans

Our microwave finally bit the dust and we bought a new one today. At check out, I was asked if I wanted a protection plan for $40. The plan is your standard run of the mill appliance protection plan on the new microwave.
My question, are protection plans worth it?

Happy Birthday to the best field trip buddy, husband and cat dad!

Took some time to clean the Bronco, got all the winter mud and grime cleaned up. This car is surprisingly easy to clean under the seats and floors. Vacuumed out an astonishing amount of Taco Bell cheese. First Fors I have owned and so far I am very impressed! #broncosport #cargay

Got faked out by a muskrat today. The little guy was swimming towards the den, went underwater, then resurfaced and swam away from the den in the opposite direction. We followed until he went underwater and resurfaced real close to the den. Clever little critter

The campaign was really fun! I enjoyed the cooperative games as well as the regular game.

We just had a chili cook off at work, one of the entered sounds just like that. But that one also had some of the small round onions in it too

Just curious, what does he use in his chili?

Cast Iron Skillet Chili. Found this Cook’s Illustrated recipe and it sounded good; so gave it a shot. It turned out really well, very delicious. Just a wee bit thinner consistency than I prefer, but good!
