Man I've always felt that, being an artist, my handwriting SHOULD be a lot more legible, but it always looks like the frantic scrawlings of a madman.

Years of training your arm for all these fine gestures SHOULD mean I would at least use a consistent version of the letter 'e' within the same word

same shot different america

A panoramic photo made up of about five separate, vertically shot photos. In this scene, we're stood on the beach at Senjugahama, Tochigi, Japan. Two small trees are in the very centre of the view. On the far left, a small jetty projects out into Lake Chuzenji. Mount Nantai is in the background behind. The lower hills project in from right and left sides of the frame, meeting in the middle where clouds are building up in the late afternoon. It's about 45mins before sunset and the first glow of the fading sun is hitting the clouds. This is deep inside a nature reserve. Access, normally, is by a special bus. We drove there as I was filming with NHK at the time and we had special permission. For those who make the effort and take the bus, it's worth the time. No people, amazing views, total peace.

Continuing to try and spread some calm today.

A photo from a fave spot in Tochigi: Senjugahama. You can't get here easily as it's deep inside a nature reserve. But the views reward those who make the effort.
