Using one atrocity's continuation as excuse to allow another to worsen makes no sense, and it doesn't keep your hands clean.

I write LGBTQ speculative fiction and ask big questions, like “What if the Golden Girls were mercs.” Based in Seattle, I winter in a gaming chair, and summer at the queer nude beach like a tin roof, rusting.
Using one atrocity's continuation as excuse to allow another to worsen makes no sense, and it doesn't keep your hands clean.
To rephrase: the options on the table were BAD or WORSE. BETTER wasn't on the table, and its absence is a huge yet separate problem. It was still our duty to try and not let things get worse.
To not use your vote to even TRY to prevent things from worsening is, in my view, petty cowardice.
Why should I watch something that a director didn't even bother to make?
I am deeply concerned about Liam and every child at the Dilley Detention Center.
No parent should have to worry about whether their child is eating, getting medical care, or deteriorating in detention.
What I saw was alarming — and unacceptable. Liam must be released immediately.
Nah. They won.
Just in case anyone forgot.
Some of the people on this site are horrible, and many are adorable.
These are both problems. You cuties are gonna be the end of me, I swear.
A set of four cake pops that read HAPPY VALENTINES DAY; The first has H, VA, and D; The second has A LEN A; the third has PP TIN Y; the last has Y ES <3. A cartoon below shows a very sad hamster holding up the one that reads PP TINY
I have been laughing at this for a solid five minutes.
Wow! I guess now I don't need to buy the game from @nintendousa.bsky.social! I'm glad @nintendousa.bsky.social obviously approved this and don't mind the loss of revenue!

I am loving the audiobook of Every Monument Must Fall, but about 3/4 through the book there is a split second of a woman's voice talking over author from nowhere, and it sounds like she's saying "Mom".
I love it. Obsessed with her.
So many responses to this show that Yes, many people do feel validated in allowing current atrocities.
They would have is either address all atrocities or none, but to them: this one alone wasn't worth stopping, if we couldn't stop the others with it.
You walk into this bar and show your ICE mugshot, you don't pay a dime.
A reminder it’s Starfleet Academy drop night. Ep4, “Vox in Excelso” by Gaia Violo & Eric Anthony Glover. Directed by Doug Aarniokoski. Lands at 9pm PT.
It feels tone deaf talking about TV w/current horrors of the world, but if u cope by looking for hope & light, hope u don’t mind the reminder. 1/2

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Look if Minnesota is the hub then it's a Purple Revolution.
Forty years ago today (Jan 28 2026), the crew of Space Shuttle Challenger 51L slipped the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God. Francis R. (Dick) Scobee, Michael J. Smith, Ronald E. McNair, Ellison S. Onizuka, Judith A. Resnik, Gregory Jarvis and Christa McAuliffe.

Go to your congressperson's office and stick this on their forehead.
She chose her stage name poorly. It's unfortunate and complex, but this is simply not a word that we need to be putting up on lights and celebrating.
WTF
Lightning and mosquitoes lancing at you from every angle. Storm clouds the size of Jupiter hanging over clay cliffs as red as Mars. Whitetail deer, skunks, and turtles sipping at a stream. Humidity that hits with the force of an anvil.
The best thing? Every year, without fail: the ice cracks.
Now is a fantastic time for you to learn more about Southern Minnesota as a place, beyond the stereotypes of cold farmland.
Wetlands at every turn, full of wild rice, cattails, and milkweed. Earth so soft it's downright welcoming. Centipedes and butterflies competing for your peripheral attention.
Incredibly moving to see the gay agenda in action.
If I see you use this word, I'll block you. If you use it "satirically" I'll block you. Using it at all today is a really fine test of character.
I've had some of my books edited because I used it twenty years ago and I'm ashamed today of having used it.
