what we watched as kids:

it was real nice of them to move the grand finals to tonight so we could see them without having to shell out for the PPV

played Trek to Yomi last year and that thing made me insane (entirely derogatory). not just its ideology as expressed through narrative but the entire system of artmaking that produced it.

Getting hit, teleport canceling your ragdoll and punishing the enemy who just hit you is sick as hell. It's not like the game's easy, either - there's a real skill curve to managing your defensive and offensive options, and enemies are very hard hitting / aggressive.

This is the kind of game that often gets dismissed as an asset flip, but there's some real inspiration in its combat systems. Clear Ninja Gaiden influence, but there's also an invincible "Quantum Teleport" you can use at any time, and I mean ANY time.

oh no peter knew. a big main universe Doc Ock fact is that he's canonically been in a serious relationship with Aunt May. it happened in the 70s. he was trying to scam her out of an inheritance but kinda fell in love with her by the end of the arc. peter had to deal with him as mom's new boyfriend

this is my theory for why deadlock is so popular. valve is the only company left capable of writing characters who are dicks to each other in a low-stakes way

i respect that take but really i just want another game where i can walk around in a beautiful forest and/or castle and hit weird-looking creatures with a sword

The Steam Next Fest is over. Our demo will be remaining up indefinitely, but we'd like to thank y'all for turning out over the past week anyway. This has been the best reception we've ever had for a demo, and we're extremely happy that it's been resonating with players.

I think it's 2 things:
-TDM is high tension all the time. People wanna play it, but it tires them out quicker than modes w/ downtime. Publishers want longer sessions.
-TDM doesn't have space for "content." once you play 2-3 games of Q3DM6 you know it, but battle royales have drop zone variety etc.

You can't see the new enemy very well in this clip so here's a turnaround.

I have a pretty consistent set of principles on this stuff that which I feel have served me well. Targeting or carelessly killing civilians is unjustifiable and unacceptable; broad definitions of who shouldn’t be included as “civilians” should be rejected. So many people don’t deserve to suffer.
