The Longcut

Double A-side Idiot Check/You Got The Love was released as a 7" single in 2007. Live favourite Idiot Check was recorded and mixed as part of the Call and Response album sessions, while our cover of Candi Staton and The Source's iconic You Got The Love was recorded in sessions following the release of the album. The digital EP was rounded out by remixes by James Rutledge, Shadow Dancer and our good friends Borland.

he Broken Hearts EP was released digitally in 2010, and features a bite-size edit of the song Open Hearts, with six stunning remixes of songs from the album, from Toro Y Moi, The Earlies, Gallops, Outputmessage, Woman In Panic and Borland.

It’s 20 years today since we released the Transition EP. Recorded in a studio in Liverpool, above a garage, where Space would periodically come in to grab equipment from their rehearsal room next to the live room, and released by the legendary Deltasonic Records.

We were generally amazed and slightly bewildered by the reaction to the song, which isn’t the most conventional pop song we’ve written, but still got people chanting the words back to us and crowd surfers hoisted towards the stage.
